Best Tamales in Tucson

Had lunch here and loved it. The tamales are fresh and taste great. The prices are affordable and the service is pleasant. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for good tamales w/ sides.

This was just such a pleasant surprise. I used to travel to Tucson frequently and always ate at Loving Spoonfuls (which I still love). We wanted to change things up a little, so we searched for a new vegan friendly place. I'm so glad we did. This place was amazing! Can't wait to go back!

Another Tucson original, tamales are made without lard and with all healthy ingredients. We are delighted that there is a new location @ Oracle and Ina because we stock up on our favorites to have as quick meals at home.

Other reviews had us expecting great things, but at best it was average food. We both had Santa Fe tamales, and the pork was tender and delicious but lost inside the thick lackluster masa. We also had green corn tamales which were just okay, and the sides we had (black beans, pintos, rice) were average. The two salsas I tried... More

I love trying all of the unusual combinations of tamales they carry and it's great how you can take them to go cold or hot.

I am not actually a big fan of Tamales. Most of the ones I have had in my life have been worthless. Up until this point, the only Tamale I considered better than edible was one served to me by a street vendor at the town square in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Well The Tucson Tamale company changed all that!... More

There are a lot of choices-ask for suggestions of what you like. For example Wisconsin cheddar tamales were good-very different and not spicy hot.... Double check for salsa and condiments-they are used to repeat clients ....

Was expecting something special given the great reviews on Tripadvisor but my wife and I were not impressed. We're not especially tamale lovers and our picks didn't show us much. The tamales were doughy and somewhat bland, the sides came in miniscule cups, the ambiance was lacking (plastic booths, cramped, and right off a busy street), and the cost was... More

I have purchased Tucson Tamale Company frozen green corn tamales in the grocery store and liked them a lot. So I stopped by for lunch today, assuming they would be even better at the restaurant. But I was wrong. My tamale here had almost a doughy consistency and I found the taste to be kind of meh. The restaurant's ambiance... More
