I was turned onto this cafe by my son. The food is just great. I was never a fan of Tamales until I tried these. They are great and even have Vegan tamales. This is authentic food that will please everyone's taste buds.

My family and I tasted 6 different kinds of tamales there, and they were all amazing ! Even the sweet ones that are served for dessert are just amazing. They have so many different choices too that it's hard to find one that you don't like. The service was fast and good :)

Having a mother and grandmother who made tamales in the kitchen while growing up we had to try this place. The place is small, at the back of a strip mall. They have quite the variety of options - I went with three JoJo tamales. My companion tried a variety, she liked the JoJo the best. The masa is nice... More

Went to Tucson Tamale Company on a Sunday evening with my wife and two children. All the girls working were friendly and helpful. We tried the new Delhi, Sante fe, sonora, and the berkley, all were amazing. We also tried the chips with Todd's fire salsa, amazing. Can't wait to make this one of our favorite Tucson haunts.

We had heard and read about Tucson tamales so on our last day in Tucson we stopped in and ordered tamales to go. It was great because they have some frozen to take home. My favorite so far are the Tubac, Tahiti, and the Tucson Tamale. It is a bit pricey but it was good. My brother was coming back... More

So we're driving down Broadway headed east, just looking for something different, to get the flavor of Tucson. Thinking about tacos, but didn't see anything that looked appetizing and clean. Then out of the corner of my eye I see this bright yellow/orange wall behind the sign Tucson Tamale. We ordered the Santa Fe, Sonora and Paella. All three were... More

I love tamales, but I'm from Atlanta -a bit tamale-challenged, in my opinion. Tucson Tamale Company has great tamales - and a fabulous selection of tamales. Even vegetarians and vegans have a great choice here! It's a basic set-up, for sure, and I could've definitely passed on the somewhat dry rice and basic beans to add another variety of tamale... Actually lived up to the hype--some of the best tamales I've had after many years of living in the Southwest. A no frills cafe environment where you place your order at the counter and they bring it over to your table--food is served in baskets, so nothing fancy about this place. We enjoyed the Mexican coleslaw-- very tasty. It's a... More

Way over-hyped here on TripAdvisor. Tamales are ok, but much too much masa, making them doughy and not nearly as tasteful as they could be. Spanish rice had an off taste that needed hot sauce to masquerade. Cole slaw average at best. Ambiance poor. Can't figure out the high rating on this one.
