Decided to stop in a have a tamale, which in turn became 2 with a split side. These tamales are rather large! ( just a word of warning) The sides can be split so you can have a sample of 2 instead of being stuck with one. Unfortunately we stopped in about 30 minutes prior to closing so I'm not... More

We were excited to try this place in Tucson since it had really good reviews on Tripadvisor. Three of us ordered a variety of tamales. We found the hot ones a little too hot, as was the spicy rice and spicy black beans. It would have been nice to have the option of Mexican rice and black beans offered in... More

We had tamales catered for a business lunch from this restaurant, and they were outstanding. A few different varieties, including some vegetarian. The tamales are huge compared to what I'm normally used to. They do not use lard and so they taste delicious.

Ordered 3 different tamales... asked for "mild" & enjoyed all of them! The "Santa Fe" with pork, green chile sauce & cheese... the "Blue Tamale" with calabacitas (squash, tomato, onion, green chile & cheese) in blue corn masa... & the "Chili Relleno" with green chile & cheese. Will definitely go back!

The Mexican Slaw is a must try. The food is affordable priced. The tamales do not taste like lard, which is very important to us. The Tamale Company sells FRESHLY MADE tortillas. The green corn tamale was very tasty. We would definetly eat at this restaurant again.

Put this storefront spot on your dining map if you are in and aroudnd the Tucson area and want to eat the best tamales you have ever had. You will know you are in the right place when you see the cars crowded around the front door. For my mind, a tamale says as much about a Mexican restaurant as... More

Quesadilla's are one of my favorite foods, and the very best are right here at Tucson Tamale Company. The chicken quesadilla has a fantastic 'smoky' flavor and is not at all greasy.

I make sure to go here every time I visit Tucson. It never disappoints me! I've been here a total of three times, and the tamales are always fresh and tasty. I recommend the Jojo tamales if you like yours really spicy. The quesadillas are pretty good, too. Unless it is really busy, they serve your food in less than... More

Tamales simply do not get better than this. Try the standards or experiment with the nontraditionals. You cannot go wrong or get a better meal at this price. Their rapid expansion is well deserved. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is fine. The patio at the original location is a great find on a nice day.
