We read a bunch of reviews and thought this would be a great place to try out. We live in Washington state & teavel through here regularly. The "authentic Sonoran food" is what hooked me. WRONG!!! The enchilada sauce was from a can...maybe spiced up a little. The rice is something you'd get out of a box. The black chorizo... More

May be a little out of the way by old Tucson standards as it is located in the Northwest area, Marana, Az. a couple of miles past City limits but en route to Dove Mtn. and Accenture Golf Tournament which brought some attention to this family establishment in a new strip mall Located on N. Silverbell Rd. just before Twin... More

Some good food, bad customer service and ugly raw bacon! We have been here 3 times. First time was for dinner and it was great! The second time was for lunch and it was just okay. Our waitress was pushy and food was just not as good. We went again for dinner with my parents. I got one of the... More

We visit La Olla for dinner often and we are never disappointed. The food is very good and the service is always good as well. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good Mexican food in NW Tucson.

Had dinner here last night with my husband, I had bought a Living Social Deal and was anxious to give this place a try. Well I was very pleased! The place is very small but has good décor and charm. Ordered 2 of the house Margaritas and they were excellent. Chips and salsa were brought to the table and the... More

I am so happy to find this gem on the NW side. Something for everyone. Fresh and made to order. Great margaritas too! Make sure you order the calabacitas on the side. You won't be sorry. We will go back again and again. My mouth waters just thinking about it.

We stopped by on a whim and glad we did!. We had the cheese crisp appetizer, my husband had chimi and I had the fried tacos. While I am not a fan of fried, it was pretty good but I think I would try something else the next time, maybe the shrimp tacos. They have a nice selection on their... More

We're new to Tucson & have been trying a bunch of different Mexican restaurants, particularly in NW Tucson. La Olla Mexican Cafe is excellent & clearly the best yet! The food is very fresh & the wait staff are very friendly & professional! We started w/ chips, salsa (very good, with diced tomatoes), and the freshest guacamole we've had in... More

It's hard to find a great restaurant in NW Tucson worthy of praise, but I believe La Olla deserves this credit. It is a small restaurant tucked in a tiny business mall and does lack some ambiance. The food however, is wonderful. Anything with tamale pie and calabacitas as sides will be worth ordering. Prices are good, unbelievable if you... More
