We stopped by on a whim and glad we did!. We had the cheese crisp appetizer, my husband had chimi and I had the fried tacos. While I am not a fan of fried, it was pretty good but I think I would try something else the next time, maybe the shrimp tacos. They have a nice selection on their... More

We're new to Tucson & have been trying a bunch of different Mexican restaurants, particularly in NW Tucson. La Olla Mexican Cafe is excellent & clearly the best yet! The food is very fresh & the wait staff are very friendly & professional! We started w/ chips, salsa (very good, with diced tomatoes), and the freshest guacamole we've had in... More

It's hard to find a great restaurant in NW Tucson worthy of praise, but I believe La Olla deserves this credit. It is a small restaurant tucked in a tiny business mall and does lack some ambiance. The food however, is wonderful. Anything with tamale pie and calabacitas as sides will be worth ordering. Prices are good, unbelievable if you... More

Some of the best Mexican food I've ever eaten and I've eaten a LOT all over the country as well as in Mexico. The food is prepared fresh with daily specials that are to die for. The staff is friendly and attentive, service is excellent and the atmosphere is okay. This is one of those little neighborhood restaurants that you... More

Great food for the price. This is not your same-old-same Mexican joint. The flavors are unique and pop in your mouth. Will certainly come back and will recommend to all. The appetizer, Diablo Chicos, is amazing! Yellow Anaheim pepper stuffed with shrimp, green onions and cheese before being wrapped in bacon and baked....What? Wow!! I want this dish again...now! The... More

We were there on a Midday evening and it was very busy. The Manchego shrimp was divine! If you miss out on the dessert menu, shame on you! Beer selection good, and the Margarita was perfect!

Emily, our server, was more then happy to make a few recommendations on what to have. Luckily, it wasn what we were looking at on the menu in the first place. The stuffed pepper wrapped in bacon was amazing. From there, each dish got even better. It was a bit away from the main area, but worth the trip. Service... More

Stopped by for lunch while in Tucson. GPS took me there while looking for a place to eat. The food was good and the service was very good. I was pleased. The place is new and nice. If you are in the neighborhood try it. I wouldn't drive across town though.

The food here is always excellent, and it has a different take on typical Mexican food. While it has the classic Sonoran Dog (not to be missed), it has a very interesting mix of dishes that never fail to please. Very popular place.

We snowbirds have been to La Olla Mexican Cafe several times in the past three winters. We have yet to be disappointed in our food or service. The food is tasty, served hot and promptly, but rather mild, so if you are looking for very spicy Mexican food, I suspect this isn't the place for you. My husband always orders... More
