We ate here on a tip......exceeded our expectations......very good, tasty, authentic Mexican food, Oaxacan style.....ample portions, reasonably priced. The green corn tamal was mmmgood. And the taco, and the whole beans, and the salsa, and the chile rellano, and I wanted to taste everything. Limited seating and hours.....they close at 2:30. Very good service. Parking can be a problem.....downtown Tucson.... More

I could write a long review. I will keep it short. This restaurant is a wonderful place. Do not miss it. I will be back in Tucson in May and my first weekday lunch will be at the Little Poca Cosa. Hugs all around.

The music is loud, the service is super friendly and the food is the real deal. They only take cash and walk-ins for breakfast and lunch M-F. The owner has been in the kitchen since before dawn making the daily specials (be sure to ask your server) and she is in the house too. If you still can't decide, just... More

Stopped in for an early dinner (~5:30) one night based on the reviews we saw here in TripAdvisor. From the menu board of 8 or so items, my husband had one of the chicken choices, I had the salmon. There were several chicken entrees, several beef, two seafood, one vegetarian so plenty of choices for all appetites. Food was interesting... More

First time here, bringing out of town guests, and it was disappointing. The food was rather bland, the service indifferent, the pricing rather high and, what really concerns me, the food wasn't hot at all. I'm always picky about serving temperatures and when the food comes to the table just warm when it should be piping hot... well!! Very disappointing.... More

The food here is carefully prepared and served by good-natured staff. Fresh ingredients, mindful cooking. Try the molle chicken and/or the pork stew - delicious. Oh, and by the way, you can't leave without a hug from the owner - the best part of a good experience. Go. Eat. Smile.

A small restaurant in downtown Tucson ran by two sisters from Mexico is known for hugs and loud music. Even going in just once or twice a year when the gem shows are on we get a welcome back and a warm embrace from Sandra. The food and presentation are always excellent. The restaurant works it own charities giving to... More

I'm not sure that this is the correct address, because I wouldn't describe this restaurant as "little" or a "cafe." My two friends and I each chose the Poca Cosa special -- surprises from the Chef. The menu changes every day, and there were 9 dishes so we got to try each of them. I have been living in Mexico... More

We went for breakfast. My husband had huevos divorciados. He said he could eat it every day. I had huevos machaca. Mine was great, too. I also had fresh mango-peach juice. It was like heaven in a cup! The staff was super friendly and the casual atmosphere was great.
