Every time we & friends have gone here, it is always the same. Great Food, friendly people & great service. That is what make a good restaurant great. Joshua (hope I got it right) is a delight. Never did we have the MIA (missing in action) server. I believe they have a new Chef, even so the food is the... More

This is a wonderful place to get away. We live in Tucson and it was a perfect date night place for romantic dinner and we also stayed in a wonderful comfy bed. Very friendly atmosphere and everyone there was sos helpful. It was so nice ,clean and loved it. WE will go back again and again!

Had lunch at this oasis and, though we were only 1 of 3 tables populated, thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the surroundings. The campus is truly beautiful, with many remnants of it's history. We stayed at this place 17 years ago on our first trip to Tucson and it is barely recognizable, although the center area with the old casitas... More

This was our second trip and it was for lunch on our two for one card. Then place is nice & clean, the setting is peaceful, and the staff was pleasant. Service was relaxed and we weren't rushed. The guacamole was freshly made & delicious. I had the AZ green chile roast beef sandwich with seasoned shoestring fries, and my... More

We stayed at the hotel and when we went to the restaurant for breakfast we expected a buffet, which is standard at most hotels (even the "nice ones"). We were surprised that is was an actual restaurant that did not just include the standard "bacon and eggs" fare. Our meals were genuinely top notch (I recommend the tamales), and the... More

I had friends visit from Austin who wanted appetizers and to eat outside. The Lodge more than exceeded their expectations, the food was delicious. We sat on the covered patio in the middle of a monsoon storm , and had an enjoyable experience. I asked some friends to join me last night thinking we would once again sit outside and... More

We dined here recently and were pretty much the only people in the restaurant. The service was mediocre. The staff was neither welcoming nor friendly. I got the feeling they wished we hadn't come! We waited a long time for our food and it was just ok. The positions were very small. The fish of the day was maybe half... More

This was our second visit to The Lodge for dinner, and the first time since the departure of chef Ryan. We found the salads to be ordinary and the entrees to be pleasing but not memorable. Although dinner was good, the wait service was slow, erratic and left a lot to be desired. We were only one of four tables... More

Breakfast, lunch or dinner- consistently top notch- or just cocktails on the beautiful patio with outdoor fireplace.

Hearing various rumors regarding changes at Lodge on the Desert, my girlfriends and I decided to sample the fares of the new chef Marcus. After Iron Chef winner Ryan left to start his own restaurant, the ambience/innovation at the Lodge was initially missing. I am delighted to report, The Lodge is back! Service was superb: wait staff including Katy, Martin,... More
