Fresh food, friendly staff

Staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is fresh, not over the top, but really good and features local ingredients.

Please, take the time to re vamp this place. Put in a vending machine or, better still, give away bottled water to weary travelers! We arrived thirsty and asked the young man at the front desk where we could get water and was told there was none! The bar was closed at 9:30 pm! and we couldn't get a cold... More

The restaurant was decent- fairly typical continental menu. Nothing stood out particularly, however everything was well prepared and edible. We are good cooks, so our bar is set pretty high on food - this cleared the bar but I won't rave!

we booked this hotel for our stay in Tucson because of it's location (central). The room is a great size and has plenty of counters and storage space. You can drop your packages, keys etc on a counter by the closet as soon as you come in the door. There is a large open shelf in the bathroom that easily... More

Typically visit here every 3 months, and were surprised and disappointed with the menu and food on this last visit. Breakfast has lost its zing. The pork hash has NO spice left in it. They took the breakfast tostadas off the menu. No reason to go back for breakfast at this point. As for dinner and/or snacks in the bar,... More

If you're headed to, or through, Tucson, make a point to enjoy a meal at Lodge on the Desert. The menu is simple and unpretentious, with lovely nods to local ingredients. The service is genuinely friendly, the setting beautiful whether you're enjoying a family gathering or intimate outing.

Was able to make a day before reservation for Thanksgiving dinner at the Lodge. I was told that the last sitting was at 5 and that I needed to be there at 4:30 pm for dinner. I would have preferred to make it later but oh well. We got there at 4:30, had an uninspiring round of appetizer buffet and... More

We had a late light dinner which we ordered to go. The shrimp cocktail was fabulous - only 4 shrimp, but they were quite large and meaty. The cocktail sauce appeared to be handmade and was quite refreshing. Caesar salad with chicken added was also a hit. We ordered our dinner from the bar since it was just closing time... More

The least expensive meat entree--chicken--was $20 but the chicken was not available. Tamales were available for $18. The restaurant was trying to be gourmet but failed. My salmon was good but my husband's "medium" filet was so rare that it was almost still breathing. The bill for two entrees with no drinks, no salad and no dessert came to $75.
