Coffee is weak

Went to the restaurant to pick up coffee and yogurt as we were having breakfast later. The coffee was weak and did not taste good.

We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at this location when we stayed at the hotel. I heartily endorse the Café Gourmande choice for breakfast: Fresh Cut Fruit, Choice of Toast (Nine Grain toast is excellent), Lodge-Made Jam, Arbuckles’ Coffee. You can dine both inside or out in the courtyard with an open-face fireplace - very nice ambiance. Dinner choice was roasted... More

This hotel/restaurant in downtown Tucson is a real sleeper. It has the charm that is old Tucson and a convenient location. The walled entrance is like a city within a city with large open areas, plantings and palm trees. The dining room was casually elegant and our dinner was well prepared, served with a relaxed style. We're going back.

We decided to try the Lodge on the Desert for Christmas Day Brunch. The restaurant is located in a very pleasant Lodge and environment. We were greeted quickly and seated by a window. The server came quickly and was very attentive. The restaurant had a very good plan, in that they had plated entrees and a appetizer and salad bar.... More

We had a very nice dinner here last night and can wholeheartedly recommend it! The art of food is alive and well here in the Old Pueblo. Fresh fish, beautiful and interesting sides, and a dessert to die for. Don't let the fact that it is associated with a hotel stop you. You will be pleased that you did!

We appreciated the convenience of this restaurant, right on the grounds of the Lodge of the Desert. It's got a 1990s feel to its decor, and the odor of fish cooking was not appealing when we walked in. The food itself was good, as it should be for the prices. My fish was cooked perfectly but on a bed of... More

Had a lovely dining experience with great corn tamales and wonderful wait staff. Love the courtyard and being away from noisy dining. Very relaxing.

Our family booked a large table for a special event. When it was over we spent a lot of money, and went away wishing we had gone to one of the many "tried and true" places. It was not a specific disappointment - just a generalized tinge of sadness that flirted with anger. Everything was average, average average. I had... More

We have eaten here many times and have enjoyed every meal. Holiday Inn it ain't! Having my morning coffee in the library I was told by another guest that they had had Thanksgiving dinner here and absolutely loved it. She described it as friendly and home-style which, frankly, the rest of the menu is not...It's better. But perhaps she meant... More
