Located in a rather non-descript plaza on North Oracle, at the complete opposite end from Kohl's, one could easily miss Saffron. I highly recommend that you do not. Inside you will find a modern motif, a friendly wait staff, and great food. I chose the Mumbai Aloo from their extensive vegetarian menu, as well as an order of Naan bread.... More

I visited for dinner with my family and I liked the Interiors very much, clean, peaceful and high in infrastructure quality. I waited for 10 minutes before someone came to our place to take the order, and it took another 10-15 mins to get the order on table. I was expecting the food to be as good as the place,... More

We really like Indian food and we always try new Indian restaurants when we travel. Some are good and some are so so. This place has good service but the atmosphere is not really cozy or inviting (too many windows and contrasty light). The buffet was reasonably priced but the food was not really that great. Some items were so... More

Always OK-convenient to where we live-but not the best Indian food in Tucson. It may have the best ambiance of Tucson Indian restaurants.

Third time we've dined at Saffron, and every time it has been excellent. The menu choices are great and service is fine. Ambience may be a bit lacking, but comfortable. The only surprise is that we've never seen the place more than half-full. Maybe others haven't discovered it yet, or we've been very lucky in our timing. I highly recommend... More

Always great food and service, but we were seated at a table that was small, flimsy and the chairs were even worse. There was not enough room on the table for the food and drinks. The chairs were cheap patio chairs that were uncomfortable and not supportive for our old backs. If I go there again and they seat me... More

The dining area of saffron is bright and attractive . A very modern feel. Our server was attentive. We loved some of the food but other dishes were not so good. The veggie samosas were crisp and tasty. Complimentary papadam was nice. My husbands Chicken tikka was good. The vegetable balls and vindaloo ere not good and the Banghan Barta... More

Every time I go to Saffron, whether it is with friends or family or getting food to go, is a beautiful experience. I am flabbergasted and awestruck by its atmosphere, prestige, decorations, location, food, portion size, music, and prices. The couple that own Saffron also own Kababeque, essentially the same restaurant. Both are excellent and make this Asian Indian reviewer... More

I've only eaten at Saffron twice, both for the lunch buffet. The chicken is good but I find most of their sides unimpressive in presentation and taste. There is often more sauce than substance. I suppose it is an ok value for the price. The location is nice--light and airy.

Found this place on Tripad which was close to our hotel in Tucson. It is a large room with glass walls, not a bit like the Indian restaurants back home. The service was good as was the food which we found the most nicely spicy of our trip. It also has a good vegetarian selection (especially the Mushroom Dhupiaza). We... More
