Go-To Indian in Tucson

This has been my go-to joint for Indian food in Tucson for the last couple of years. I would not rate it the best Indian I've ever had, but it is certainly the best in Tucson (and I've tried them all)! I usually order off the menu (buffets are not my thing) and have been very happy with their... read more

Fine Indian food. Samosas were not as great as advertised. But, all in all, very good food, nice atmosphere. though not busy, service was friendly, but not very good. If you like Indian food, it is a good choice.

Dropped by on way to Nogales from Phoenix. We were hungry and research showed this is one of the best....ambience, staffs, cleaniness are really good...but food is not to the mark. Chicken biryani is disaster...no where u can call it biryani...even no proper spoon available except dessert n serving spoon...since it has recieved so many awards, the management team should... We have been going to Saffron for the last year and a half, every 1-2 weeks on average. The food is fresh, consistent and absolutely delicious. Our favourites are the chicken tikka masala, saag paneer and bindhi do pyaza. The buffet is great but we prefer ordering off the menu for more spice. The service is always genuinely friendly. The... We've eaten here several times. Occasionally lunch seems to miss a beat (not fond of the buffet) but the evening meals have been delicious, and ample. Great coffee, too. Our server was very prompt and courteous, but acted as if he would rather be anywhere but there. It didn't interfere with him tending us at all, but we all thought... More

Evidently, twenty years back when I lived in the Chicago area, I must have dined at some of America's finest Indian restaurants. (It helped that my Indian friends would take me to their favorites.) Since that time I have periodically attempted to find some equal experiences (which were truly excellent) and I have continually been disappointed. Admittedly, a lunch buffet... More

Although part of a chain, this restaurant is family run, and the food quality is high. Good service, wide selection of beers, sometimes they have a wine special. Lovely curries.

We had never been and ordered by phone. The woman who took the call beautifully described the dishes that she liked. We took her advice and it was spot on. Everything was delicious.

Just had dinner at this restaurant with some friends. Lively busy place, alcohol served. Average prices, average food. While I'm no Indian cuisine expert I asked my dining mates about their food and the general consensus was just average, spicy not spicy enough, sauces on bland side. We ordered a variety, eggplant, mani mahi, chicken, lentil soup. Saffron rice for table... More

I have come here time and time again and have NEVER been disappointed. The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance and is always very clean. The mango shake is out of this world, you'd be crazy not to try it! I have tried numerous dishes but my favorite is always the Chicken Mughlai Mhurg. It is creamy and spicy and absolutely... More
