Very good food and outstanding service.

My wife and I ate here yesterday. It's a clean and almost shiny locale and the server was friendly and helpful. We had a visit from the manage (might be the owner, I'm not sure), who checked on our experience and was sincerely interested in our reply. I like spicy food and ordered Lamb Vindaloo... read more

We usually are not on this side of town. Happened to be over there at dinner time and was craving Indian food. The restaurant is nice and bright. Wait staff was very pleasant. Everyone there was making sure we had what we needed not just our waiter. We started off with a few appetizers. The vegetable samosas were good but... More

We've been here often enough, and would go more if we lived in town. It is certainly one of the best Indian restaurants we've been to, and we've been to more than a few. The friendly servers know their food, and aren't put out to really explain a preparation. The pakoras don't land in your belly like heavily/overly fried lead.... More

We decided to try Saffron Bistro, as I wanted Indian food and Saffron Bistro has the best rating of the Indian Restaurants in Tucson. The whole experience was great, starting with a very heartfelt welcome by the receptionist to the extremely helpful Tony. He made the whole meal fun. The tablet menu was fun. Letting us see what we were... More

First, take into consideration this is my very first experience with Indian food. I like a variety of foods including sushi which I believed to be my favorite, it is now tied. The waiter most definitely made the experience easier as did the tableside tablet that featured pictures of all of the dishes. I did not brave the chef specialties... More

Saffron is really good! From the greeting to the end this was a really exceptional evening. The food was tasty (medium spice was perfect), tender and plenty to enjoy. Niki was extremely attentive and pleasant. So far my favorite restaurant in Tucson - I will be back.

I love when I enter a restaurant where the smell is so enticing with the rich and beautiful spices that define Indian cuisine. The restaurant is a beautiful space that is conducive to a lovely meal. I hadn't been to Saffron Indian Bistro in awhile and today the beautiful spice seemed to be calling my name and my good friend... More

We have eaten at Saffron last year. The experience was consistent. Good Service and good food. Some of dishes were better than others. Chili Paneer, Korma, and Patia were excellent. My Chicken Curry was not as good as last year and only a couple of pieces of chicken but plenty of sauce. I sampled the Patia which used lamb and... More

Saffron's food was ok. Basically, it was not what we were looking for. We ordered the Matar Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan. The Naan turned out to be the best thing we ordered, but 2 of the 3 pieces were burnt. The Chicken Tikka Masala was ok, but the chicken was dry and I kept getting bites with... More

We had good experiences here when Saffron first opened, but the last time we tried dinner here the pappadoms were soft instead of crisp. Recently we tried lunch, and found the curry choices somewhat lacking in meat content, and the naans all dried up and luke-warm, not freshly cooked at all. We prefer the Indian restaurant in Oro Valley where... More
