Greek food by Greeks

Every server and cook in this restaurant seems to be from Greece. The first time I ate here there was a central table ganged together with a priest in cassock from the local Greek Orthodox church and at least a dozen (one assumes relatives or parishioners) having a lunch and speaking Greek. Authentic egg-lemon soup, grape leaves, spanakopita. Gyro and village salad was delicious as well! I went with my team from work and we all had a great time. The food was delicious, the service was perfect and the owner, Andreas, was friendly and fun.

Food is pretty good but the wait times are always pretty long. Typically takes 5+ minutes before anyone greets us at the door. And at least 20 minutes before we can be seated even with tables cleared or ready to be cleared. Food takes a long time to get out of the kitchen.

Went here several years ago and found it disappointing. Returned for a birthday get together with some friends and quite frankly I was a little skeptical about going. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. I had a nice gyros plate and asked for it put together a little differently and this was done without hesitation. The gyros meat was... More

We have been at OPA several times, only once the waitress needed more training and the lamb was roast too long. The food every other time was unbelievable!!!!

If you want rude staff, food that wasn't prepared to order, this place is for you! After visiting this place a few times, nothing changes! Last night I received the wrong salad, and informed our rude waitress to put dressing on the side, but the salad was drenched in oil. This happens every time!!!! My husband order a snapper dish... I enjoy a number of the dishes here. It is especially fun but they serve such a nice appetizer before every meal with hummus fresh cucumber tazaki sauce and pita bread. The hero meet is quite delicious. The Greek salads are fun. I especially enjoyed the Greek hamburger. If you look online you find that they offer a number of... More

Went on a Wed. afternoon. There were other tables but we received our food in a timely manner. Food was very good. Brother got the gyro platter. HUGE portions. TONS of meat. Had a nice menu. Would go back. Salad was fresh and well seasoned. We heard they run a bunch of promotions. We did not use any of those.

The service is so bad that it overwhelms the wonderful food. They like to put out groupon coupons and they get overwhelmed with business. It seems their business strategy is to sell lots of coupons and that people will put up with horrible service for inexpensive food. While the food is very good the service is so bad it takes... If you want to add some excitement to your meal, order the Flaming Cheeseburger! The server sets it on fire tableside. Comes with fries or a Greek salad. Very tasty! At Opa! you get a lot of food for a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit!
