How can you go wrong with a fresh salad? Well that's what I said when my order arrived at the table, and my salad was wilting and my tomatoes were slimy and my cucumbers were dried out, like as if it sat in a fridge for days before they put it in front of me. I was a bit bothered... More

This was a great italian place but it closed after many years in business. I think it closed because the seating area in the back was not in compliance with some town regulations. We miss it!!

I regret to write a negative review, but after such a disappointing meal at Café al Dente and with our stomachs still churning and upset the morning after, it's perhaps one that the owner might see and make a few changes. First, you walk in, no one to greet you and you find your own seating. It's as if the... More

Had a great meal there. Phil, the owner was very attentive and the service was great. All of the pasta dishes are great. The shrimp bisque was fantastic , loaded with flavor.

We go there a few times a year. I like the seafood Fra Diavolo medium hot. Fish has also been good. My teenage daughter likes the pasta. Most entrees come with a salad.

My family and i come here frequently and always enjoy the food. The only thing that stops us from coming more frequently is that the prices on the pasta dishes are a bit high. If I want a basic Italian pasta dish like penne a la vodka or something else like that, I can find it for a lot less... More

The atmosphere in homey and the food is outrageously good. The menu contains many classic Italian favorites but also some delicious dishes with a twist. The pignoli nut crusted shrimp with vodka sauce over pasta was incredible. My favorite dish is a seasonal dish that chef/owner Phil brings out right around the beginning of November. Butternut squash ravioli in an... More

If you go there, try the roasted red pepper ravioli - the sauce trio (marinara, pesto, cream) with the pignoli nuts are delicious. Comes with a great side salad - could almost be a meal in itself!

I have eaten dozens of times at al Dente and the food has always been excellent with large portions. I usually get the same waiter and it's like visiting a friend for dinner since he always jokes with me about usually ordering the same meal. We take friends there because we are confident the food will please, Just like home!

Nice cozy Italian restaurant- dinners come with fresh hot bread & a nice salad. Everything else is al a carte. Average size portions - price has gone up some & of you don't get as much as you used to. But the food is freshly made to order & never had a bad meal there.
