Our large group enjoyed 2 evenings of delicious meals here. Particular favorites were the lobster, full bellied clams, Moqueca and blueberry pie. Everyone in our group of 11, enjoyed their meal in this comfortable, lively place. Friendly, efficient service.

We went here with another couple on a night when the place was packed. There was a wait for a table and another wait before we got served, but it was understandable. The scallops were good, but they had run out of clams. The desserts we ordered, blueberry pie and carrot cake, were HUGE and FANTASTIC. (Because there was a delay... More

We sat at the bar and ordered dessert and drinks. Service was very good. The bartender was friendly and attentive. I had blueberry pie and it was as good as any other piece I'd had in Maine. The beers offered were good with many locally brewed options.

We didn't have a good meal here. Service was slow - waitress was overloaded with tables. Many items were sold out. We were disappointed

We ordered fried scallops and fried clams. Both meals were wonderful. The tables are nicely spaced so you don't feel crowded. Most tables overlook the bay so you get a nice view too.

We stayed in the suite downstairs (BIG mistake, another review) and decided to eat here as it was right there. We should have known it was not going to be great when the first thing you read on the Menu is "Historic Inn in Lubec and its for sale!" "Classy"! Our waitress was knew and really tried hard but the... More

Lubec, Maine may not be known as a culinary capital, but The Water Street Tavern and Inn always provides delicious fare, great drinks and very friendly service. This is a small town restaurant and folks should take it as such. (In other words, don't come in expecting to order a soufflé for dessert or truffles on your lobster roll.) Jim... More

We stayed at the Blue Heaven Cottage owned and operated by the owners of the Water Street Inn Lubec, Maine. The cottage was adorable, clean, and a charmingly rustic house equipped with everything you need. The price was very reasonable and would love to go back. If planning a trip to Maine don't miss this opportunity to see a beautiful,... More

Rather a mixed bag dining - great ambience and a standout Brazilian seafood stew, rich and chock full of scallops, shrimp, fish and lobster. Great wine list and some good microbrews. However I was a little disappointed in my salmon salad that was skimpy on lettuce and with salmon that didn't seem the freshest. The kids' burgers were fine but... More

We ate here on our first night in Lubec on the recommendation of the owners of our motel. We chose to eat inside as it was quite cool. Staff was friendly and helpful. My sister and I shared the Moqueca, a Brazilian salt water seafood stew in coconut milk, tomatoes, onions, garlic. . . It was very good. Our companion... More
