The atmosphere was cozy, warm, friendly, and the food was great! Nice taste of local culture, too. There was live entertainment the evening we ate dinner there. Would definitely recommend eating/drinking there if you are near Lubec, ME.

We were in Lubec for three days and ate at this gem of a place everyday. On Friday evening we enjoyed live music by a local musician. It was a hoppin' atmosphere, for sure. The food was DELICIOUS!! The staff were very friendly as well. It was a real hometown place.

The restaurant is an older building on the water. The food was superb. We all had a haddock burger. It was delightful. Then there were the steamers, lobster stew, seafood chowder, and fried clams which were compliments of the owner because this item had been omitted on the menu. The food was fresh, well prepared and tasteful. The service was... More

My wife raved about the blueberry salad and I had good appetizer. Ample portions and good service. Can be very noisy when busy. Nice views of the small harbor area. Fair prices

I have the Maine Berry salad and it was fantastic. Full of berries with a raspberry vinaigrette it was delicious. The scallops were very good with a taste of garlic. But then the finally, the apple crisp which was huge and fantastic. The people around me took one look and two of them also had to order it.

The restaurant is in a comfortable old building with windows looking out over the water. In warmer weather there is outdoor seating. The fish was fresh, simple, well prepared, and tasty. Service is casual and efficient.

Hospitality was excellent and the food cooked to order. It's not fast food but wonderful home cooking. Lobster stew and black bean soup to die for... We traveled 40 miles out of our way to return there for dinner.. Ate there twice in 1 week. The Menu varied based on what was freshly caught... Just as the wine list varied... More

We came here on late September weekday evening and found the place packed at 6pm! The staff was great and apologized that they may be a bit slower due to the rush. The beer selection is very good and there is a view from most every table. The menu is not extensive but gives the classic fried seafood and some... More

THE place for dinner in Lubec. The owner is on-site, staff efficient and attentive, and the kitchen puts out some pretty darned good scallops, burgers, chowder and salads. We know, because we were here two nights in a row.

Lubec is strange in September. Restaurants take turns opening up at night. Don't count on finding many choices. Julie waited on us and did a really good job. Tables were close together and we met a nice couple from Washington State and had a bonus of nice dinner conversation. The meal was very good. We tried local beer. The owner... More
