Great Food

Good variety of cuisine. Its best to visit in the summer when the deck is open for dining out back because the main floor is somewhat small and tight.

This was the only place open in October, but I was not disappointed! The restaurant is literally on the water and the seafood is fresh off the boat.

A very wide spectrum menu, all carefully prepared by...... Frank. Haddock burgers, prime rib, Italian specialties

LUBEC in mid October is mostly absent. Indeed most of Maine is much the same. The October visitor can marvel at the variety of 'closed for the season' signs & the interesting ways of barring entry: huge boulders, chains etc. Lubec, which is a pretty little village hugging the US/Canadian border & may well be teeming in "THE SEASON", certainly... This is a cozy restaurant in a small town, yet the menu offers many choices in a predominantly Italian theme. The seafood is fresh as expected but is used creatively in unique dishes. Service was friendly and good, and prices are reasonable.

We ended up here because EVERY other place in town was closed! One place was literally sweeping the rugs out the door - guess Downeast Maine closes up early! I ordered the Seafood Stew and it was very good, with a huge amount of shrimp, crab, and fish. Also ordered a "salad" which was just a dish of cut up... More

One of a few restaurants in this tiny town in Maine. Fried haddock was lightly breaded, not greasy, seasoned just right, with tasty fries. The cannoli dessert was fabulous. Prices were very reasonable. Great view from inside; they also have outdoor tables. Great service, friendly casual atmosphere, not fancy.

The Buttery Baked haddock was fantastic and my husband liked his eggplant Parmesan. Service was ok. Suggest calling ahead and reserving good table with good view..

We had a wonderful lunch at Frank's Dockside. Everything from fried clams and scallops to French onion soup was perfect. The service was friendly and efficient. It was the perfect spot for lunch and a break from touring.
