Established in 1998, Gracie’s was founded with a vision to offer fine food and personal attention to all. Started on Providence’s Federal Hill, Gracie’s quickly outgrew its 30-seat location and moved to the Downcity Theater District in 2005. The new space offers a cozy wine room, a stunning private dining room and greater seating capacity. Although Gracie’s has grown in size it remains true to it’s mission -- to create a warm environment, and to surprise, excite and educate the palate.

One of Providence's many fine restaurants

I agree with the person who entitled a review "Good, but not quite up to its own billing," The service was excellent, and our waiter was an experienced adult server who know what he was doing, was helpful and good humored, and not intrusive. My children took my wife and me to Gracie's for a 75th... read more

We were taken here as a celebration dinner. Wow. It's just a terrific place, from tope to bottom. As a point of reference, our favorite restaurant in the Boston area is L'Espalier. This was like that -- but without any of the formality. The food was spectacular. We did the chef's tasting menu, with wine pairing. Each dish was interesting,... More

Went to Gracie's for our 22nd wedding anniversary and it was everything everyone made it out to be and more. We were seated in the wine room downstairs so it felt like we had a private experience. The waitstaff was superb and extremely knowledgeable about the food, the ingredients and the wine. We opted for the 7 course tasting paired... More

When somewhere bills itself as "finest dining experience" they need to be pretty confident of their credentials. Gracies was good, but not without flaws. Firstly, we arrived on time, with a reservation, only to be seated in the bar area......at a very small raised bar table....really not big enough for 4. Now, they were busy, but if you take a... It was our anniversary and when I told our server she decorated our table, gave us an anniversary card and a glass of sparkling wine to toast with. Every detail of our dinner was exceptional. From the choice of breads, to the quality of food and the great service we had a perfect evening. We did not have the tasting... More

The restaurant setting is perfect for a romantic night and important family events. The service is incredible good and have nothing else to say about it that it is exceptional. The bread provided is very good, some options like the baguette felt old and did not meet expectations. I had the $50 fix menu, I had to pick an entry,... More

Ate here during Restaurant Week and food was great! Two of us had fish and one the duck and all excellent. Berry shortcake and creme brulee wonderful. Nice ambiance and location for a special meal!

Great experience this evening – tasting menu, five course, with wine pairings. Great service. They were particularly thoughtful in supporting someone who needed gluten-free meal. Fantastic!

We went there for our anniversary and everyone there made it special. They decorated the table and gave us sparkling wine. Both the service and food were memorable. I look forward to returning.

We arrived quite hungry after a long drive from New York City. This place had the best reviews so we decided to try it. It was not a good experience. The first clue that it was over-done was the scrap-book size menu with multiple pages. (Kind of like a NY diner, but "fancy".) We ordered a bottle of white wine.... More
