I had heard good things, but every entree came with the same uninspired green beans and a triangle of polenta with straight-from-the-can tomato sauce. Swordfish was without taste. Server was efficient but intrusive. There are better options nearby

In a world which has possibly more italian restaurants than any other food, the odds are you'll hit the usual bland and unimaginative american style italian food where they play it safe. But Siena proved to be very authentic and creative as well. Admittedly Siena was initially my choice because they were open later than the rest (10:30), but it... More

My son took his (grandmother) and myself (mom) here for a mother's day brunch. We started with two appetizers the meatball with sauce which was enough for the 3 of us and more! It was huge and were told later it was a pound of meat, it was delicious. We also had the calamari which was good, light batter could... More

Went with a couple of friends on a Tuesday night. Did not think we would need a reservation on a Tuesday, but we were wrong. An hour wait. Decided to leave our name and walk up the street as it was a terrific evening. Every other restaurant we passed by on the hill was empty, so a good sign for... More

We went here because of the many recommendations. We found the food to be average unfortunately. The Dandelion salad with strawberries, candied pistachios, and mozzarella was good. The veal chop, Brussels sprouts and Rigatoni with sausage were average. The tiramasu was my least favorite part of the meal. We had a nice booth in the back of the restaurant away from... More

Crowded but not overwhelming, even on a Saturday night. Perfect pasta and superb meats. Great choice for Italian on Federal Hill.

Siena is my go-to Italian spot when visiting Rhode Island. The quality of the food and level of service has been consistent over the past four years. I always end up falling in love with their steak specials! My favorite thus far was an espresso pressed filet mignon. Also, their wine list is generous and the server is usually good... More

My daughter and I tried to go to Enoteca Umberto, but it was closed. So, we found some local ladies who recommended Siena. Everything was great: the service, the ambiance, the two dishes we ordered. Try the jumbo shrimp over a creamy ricotta risotto. We were sorry to see it go. I'd go back here in a flash.

I had a terrific meal at sienna. It was one of the best Italian meals I've ever had. I have the gnocchi with grilled chicken and it was absolutely amazing. The place was very warm and inviting and I can't recommend it enough. The hostesses and servers were great. The one potential area for improvement is the bread they bring... More
