You won't leave hungry; top-notch staff and food

We had a group of 17, which would be a daunting task for most restaurants to handle. But the staff at Siena handled it with ease. Our food came out on time, hot and delicious. We enjoyed Siena twice while in Providence. Authentic Italian and totally enjoyable on both visits. The first time I selected from the fixed price three course menu. The medium sized meatball in red sauce was delicious especially with the assortment of homemade breads. My main course was a penne pasta in a creamed vodka sauce which again was terrific. Dessert... My husband and I love this restaurant. We have eaten here many times and never had a bad experience. Food and service are always great and ambiance is lively but not too much. It is always busy so you definitely need a reservation. The only con is the bar area is small and gets easily packed at times so it... More

We had a reservation but we're a little early. No problem, friendly staff seated us promptly. Our waitress, Abby, got us started and was able to manage my request to "customize" my Polo Diabolo to my liking. My wife had the Veal Porcini and we both thoroughly enjoyed the meal! Attentive but not clingy staff, prompt service, and a fair... More

While waiting to be seated, the wonderful aroma of a meal being carried past me determined my dinner choice. When I actually looked at the menu, I was pleasantly surprised by the prices. I expected to pay more for food of this quality. Our party of four ordered the same dish that I chose, so I can't speak for the... More

I came to Siena in Federal Hill of Providence at the recommendation of the cabbie who drove me from the Amtrak station to my hotel. I was not disappointed. Siena specializes in modern Italian cuisine, though I am not experience enough to know if a region is featured other than the region around the namesake city. It's not a big... More

We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation, and wouldn't have minded waiting if there were somewhere to wait without being in the way of servers, hostesses, and other patrons. The restaurant was very crowded and difficult to get to the bar to order drinks. We finally ordered cocktails, and were seated shortly thereafter, but for some reason it took... More

We enjoyed our meal and the ambiance at Siena. The restaurant is located in Federal Hill and was very busy during our Monday night visit. It was restaurant week and there was a larger group in the private room. The noise level in the back of the restaurant was excessive due to large group and I think that the group... More

Siena presents very good Italian food in Providence. We recieved a free appetizer card and a strong recommendation from our hotel. It was enought o give the restautrant a try. The eggplant appetizer was outstanding. We ordered a pasta dish and a Chicken. Both were excellent.
