If you can't go to Italy...go HERE.

This place is an authentic Italian market with virtually everything you could want. Tables are spread around throughout the market and everything on the menu is first rate. We tried all 4 appetizers and they were each magnificent. Good selection of entrees. Service was impeccable. Plenty of... read more

This place is an authentic Italian market with virtually everything you could want. Tables are spread around throughout the market and everything on the menu is first rate. We tried all 4 appetizers and they were each magnificent. Good selection of entrees. Service was impeccable. Plenty of fresh bread, wine was reasonably priced. Not what I would call "romantic" atmosphere... More

There are many different restaurants in the Federal Hill area, and we were very happy with our choice. Chicken Parm, Veal Parm, Chicken Florentine, and the Bolognaise all get our thumbs up. We had early reservations and parked in a nearby lot, however, they do have complimentary valet parking and suggest you do that. You get a lot of food... More

Christmas week they are not serving meals here but are organized to bring waves of customers in to the deli counters for their special meats and antipasti delights. The grocery shelves are piled with all manner of marinated wonders. You'll find an entire wall of fresh pasta products, a cappuccino bar, and one of the more extensive selections of olive... More

The Federal Hill neighborhood of Providence is its "Little Italy". And, perhaps no other venue exemplifies the delicious bounty available as Venda Ravioli. The center stage there is the square glass display cases filled with delicious cheeses, salumi, meats and prepared foods of every description. The staff manning the counters are very knowledgeable and outgoing. Against the walls of the... More

The smells are intoxicating as you enter Venda's. The extensive offerings of prepared food, cheese, olives, and meats are unequaled. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. This is a place that all must visit to truly experience Providence's Little Italy!

Second time for us. Lunch menu is standard, but deli counters are mind-boggling. Great selection of meats, fish and cheeses. Surrounding shelves have oils, vinegars and other condiments. If you have a car, you may have to park some distance from the establishment, but it's a nice walk in good weather. We would certainly patronize it again.

We ate at the bar during a very busy weekend. The bartender was very capable and provided excellent service (and conversation!). The food was a bit of a mixed bag -- steak and seafood dishes were very nicely prepared, but those who ordered ravioli, which is one of the house specialties, were less than wowed. Nothing wrong with it, but... More

The weather was warm and the humidity was low. Eating al fresco just seemed right. With Italianesque Pasquali Square as a backdrop we were seated and served efficiently and with good humor by our waiter (I wish I'd gotten his name). The menu was creative, the salads crisp, the pasta was al dente, the sauces divine. An excellent meal. That... More
