My husband took me to my favorite Italian restaurant in Providence for my birthday. The surprise was that all my friends were there plus some of my family. It was restaurant week and my favorite dinner, bolognese, was on the menu. Drink orders were very slow. Appetizers were very slow and not all came to us at the same time.... More

Trattoria Zooma is a great Italian restaurant. The service was excellent, the food superb and overall a very good value. The ambiance is nice and the locals know this place well, it is always crowded, make a reservation. The pasta is home made and excellent, the soups and salads are made with pride and very good. All five entries we... More

We sampled Zooma's delicious pasta during the Providence Stroll and headed there for lunch during restaurant week. The gnocchi was super duper, the bread makes you wonder why you ever bother to eat store bread, the sauce light and flavorful, and the pizza more than enough for two. Soup and dessert were included. Creamy pasta fagioli was delish and fresh mini... More

Atmosphere is bad---ugly decor and lots of flies. Hubby ordered the pasta special. 2 shrimp. 3 clams. Tiny amt of pasta. $32. My dinner was cheaper but, at best, eh. Crazy amt of $$ for a poor/mediocre meal. You can do so much better.

We drove through Providence on our way home from Newport and found this restaurant in the Federal Hill neighborhood by chance. We noticed good reviews on Tripadvisor so we decided to try it. It looked cute & had windows opened to the sidewalk & cafe tables outside. We sat at one of tables by the window. My husband had the... More

We visited for dinner on college graduation weekend and had a 6:30pm reservation. We waited until 7:00pm for our table, which wasn't too bad since we could see the place was packed. On a bad note - it took 75 minutes to get our food once we finally got to order. We had some elderly family members with us, which... More

Zooma is the real thing! Handmade pasta dishes are superb. Great appetizers and great drinks at a beautiful bar. Colorful and sophisticated ambiance. Servers are professional, polite, friendly and attentive. They have an extensive menu that makes choosing difficult. Definitely demands another visit. Antipasto through dessert we had an unforgettable dining experience!!

The decor is a little obnoxious but I like sitting by the windows when they are open. Food is usually pretty good and they make their own pasta which is nice to see. Problem is that the service and kitchen are sooooo slow and disorganized that you wait an obscene amount of time for everything.

We were roaming down Atwells Ave looking for someplace for lunch. Outside this restaurant looked interesting. Upon coming through the front door we were delighted to see gnocchi being made right in front of us. We were seated right away and the server was pleasant but not overbearing. The food was served timely and was perfect eating temperature. House Chianti... More

I had heard some good things about Zooma and so decided to check it out myself. Boy, was I disappointed! The decor is tacky right down to the tastless, third rate paintings. The bread was not fresh & not warm. The olive oil ( for my bread) had no olives in it. The Caesar salad was dry and ordinary (obviously... More
