We happened to go to this restaurant because The Hill was particularly crowded on Saturday evening 8/23/14. We were very happy with the atmosphere. It is not traditional Italian buit very trendy. So if you are looking for the sultry, smokey Tuscany atmosphere- keep walking. The food is very pricey and the portions are small. However, its tastey and fresh.... More

Excellent! We have had lunch here twice in a year and absolutely love it..there were 10 of us that arrived without reservations and they are always accommodating. Our group comes up to Rhode Island every august for a adult jazz camp and on the last day we have lunch together. The pasta and wine are great.

Went for lunch and had two entrees: sachetelli and a mergherita pizza. The sachetelli pasta was out of this world, awesome, superb, perfect, over the top. The pizza was good too. Service was excellent. Will definitely visit again the next time we are in Providence.

This restaurant was excellent. I had the pasta bolognese and it was so good I hated to finish it. The pasta was wide noodles which went beautifully with the meaty sauce. The waiter was excellent and the wine very nice. I would have liked warm bread and flavored oil, but the bread was fresh and delicious. We never felt rushed,... More

You can watch them make the pasta thru the window as you enter the restaurant. All is freshly made there and they have many different types to choose from. All is excellent as are the appertisers. The service is very good. The place is noisy as it is always full and very busy. We sampled each other's dinners and liked... More

My husband took me to my favorite Italian restaurant in Providence for my birthday. The surprise was that all my friends were there plus some of my family. It was restaurant week and my favorite dinner, bolognese, was on the menu. Drink orders were very slow. Appetizers were very slow and not all came to us at the same time.... More

Trattoria Zooma is a great Italian restaurant. The service was excellent, the food superb and overall a very good value. The ambiance is nice and the locals know this place well, it is always crowded, make a reservation. The pasta is home made and excellent, the soups and salads are made with pride and very good. All five entries we... More

We sampled Zooma's delicious pasta during the Providence Stroll and headed there for lunch during restaurant week. The gnocchi was super duper, the bread makes you wonder why you ever bother to eat store bread, the sauce light and flavorful, and the pizza more than enough for two. Soup and dessert were included. Creamy pasta fagioli was delish and fresh mini... More

Atmosphere is bad---ugly decor and lots of flies. Hubby ordered the pasta special. 2 shrimp. 3 clams. Tiny amt of pasta. $32. My dinner was cheaper but, at best, eh. Crazy amt of $$ for a poor/mediocre meal. You can do so much better.

We drove through Providence on our way home from Newport and found this restaurant in the Federal Hill neighborhood by chance. We noticed good reviews on Tripadvisor so we decided to try it. It looked cute & had windows opened to the sidewalk & cafe tables outside. We sat at one of tables by the window. My husband had the... More
