Description: The train may have left the station, but you don't have to miss out on the most extraordinary steak around. Join us in Union Station for dry aged steak that The Providence Journal lauds as having, “only gotten better with time.” We’re just one block away from the RI Convention Center and Dunkin’ Donuts Center. Conveniently, we’re also just the spot Rhode Island Monthly says is “Best Restaurant to Impress.”

Went here for early dinner prior to Fleetwood Mac concert nearby. Apparently, many other patrons were doing the same. It was very busy by 5:30 but there were clearly enough waitstaff to handle everyone comfortably. After a complimentary wine at the bar, we started with a Lobster Bisque special which was absolutely delicious and a Caesar Salad that was good... More

I went here with my friends during Restaurant Week. Since we could get a 3 course meal for only $35, how could we skip out on the Capital Grille? Once you walk in, you're greeted with a huge bar that stretches across the room. The hostess was very prompt in greeting us and getting us seated, even though we were... More

Long overdue review. Went to Capital Grille to celebrate anniversary and it was delicious from start to finish. Because it was our anniversary we were given a special complimentary champagne toast, wine glasses with Capital Grille etched in, a Christmas ornament and a complimentary "delicious" dessert. The meal was fantastic and our server Tom was so engaging and just a... More

I went here on Thanksgiving and as expected the food was excellent. It's a classic steakhouse so the dishes are standard but all are done well. The bread is fresh baked and brought to the table warm. I would eat here more if it wasn't for the price, which is steep. Save it for a special occasion.

Food was Fantastic, ambiance wonderful, service meh. My husband, two friends and I made a reservation at the Capitol Grille for New Years Eve. We arrived at 9:20 for our 9:30 reservation, when i went to check with the hostess she let me know they were running 15 minutes behind and we should be seated by 9:45. I completely understood... Actually 2 restaurants in one. One side with bar brasserie type room and the other really classy with very nice table clothes and nice plates. I have tried the bar side, as I was by myself, and the service was really friendly, full of advices and very professional. I have selected a classical porterhouse steak, and the selection appeared to... More

Always wanted to eat at a Capitol Grille and finally got the chance to do so in Providence. Just what a restaurant should be. The spinach salad, the onion soup gratinee, the steak… all were superb!! The service was excellent too. Would go again!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the service, atmosphere and food at the Capital Grille. Not cheap, but worth every penny. On the second visit we all had repeats of our main course choices as we liked them so much the first time and we were not disappointed!

OK, I know that most people believe that family get togethers are supposed to be events i nyourhome with everyone gathered in the kitchen helping to prepare the meal. But let me share my secret with you. Take the family out to The Capital Grille. The location is beautiful, the menu (which you can prepare in advance) is far beyond... More

Had lunch here on Black Friday, this has become a tradition between myself and my daughter. After a few hours of shopping at Providence Place Mall it is nice to get away from the crowds. We have been having our Black Friday Lunch at Capital Grille for the past five years and they never disappoint. One of the specials is... More
