The train may have left the station, but you don't have to miss out on the most extraordinary steak around. Join us in Union Station for dry aged steak that The Providence Journal lauds as having, “only gotten better with time.” We’re just one block away from the RI Convention Center and Dunkin’ Donuts Center. Conveniently, we’re also just the spot Rhode Island Monthly says is “Best Restaurant to Impress.”

We eat at this restaurant several times a year. The steak, fish and specialty dishes are all prepared to perfection. Mark, the manager runs a tight ship. All employees are very happy to serve you, with great respect. The steaks are prepared to your liking and they have a nice wine selection. They accept large parties and small. I can't... More

From our waiter who was the epitome of class to our desserts everything was wonderful. They went over and above to make Mother's feel special and I sure did. The food was great. I had the lump crab cocktail and the crab and lobster stuffed shrimp. For dessert the nose AMAZING coconut cream pie I've ever tasted, light and delicious.... More

Everything was great! Great food, drinks and service. Tried new drink on menu and it was fabulous. Steak cooked perfectly. Wish we had room for dessert.

Enjoyed a group lunch here recently. Didn't realize they were open for lunch until just recently but was impressed by the ambiance, service and the food. Although it's a bit pricey vs. other lunch alternatives, it is a nice change of pace for special occasions.

Went with my boyfriend for dinner and we both had a delicious meal. He had the sirloin steak, medium rare. I had raw oysters and the french onion soup. Everything was delicious! Plated beautifully and timed well. Our server, Daniel B., was superb. He was attentive, polite, and very responsive. He refilled our drinks before we could ask and even... More

Mark was a great waiter. Attentive, patient, and informative. My steak was excellent, great cut and cooked perfectly. Bowl of French Onion soup was good, as was the calamari. The bottle of Quantum from Beringer was very good. The only major issue is the bar area. There is not enough space to sit or even stand if you arrive early... More

The Capital Grille is the kind of fine dining restaurant that you save for a special occasion. The service is perfect and while the price may be on the high end. Who wouldn't be willing to pay more for a meal that is fantastic. The ingredients are fresh and the food is prepared to perfection.

Exceptional service - the waiter gave great insight to how to have the food prepared, what to order, even helped as we wanted to share our plates. Outstanding food - the flavor of the steak and the sides was melt in your mouth good.
