Always A Delight

If you like fine dinning with a twist as well as being a bit pampered in every way....This is the place.... The Capital Grille has been here like forever...Just ask for a quiet booth if you like your privacy on a busy night....It does seem to get a bit loud.... The atmosphere is simply Providence!

I cannot say that we did not enjoy our meal. It was fabulous. My biggest complaint is having to pay $8 to park even with the discount stamp at the Capital Grille. We were there about an hour and one half and having an $8 fee for parking is full price as far as I can see.

This is the kind of place where you want to have a business dinner or to celebrate a special event. I dine there for thanks giving and the atmosphere was great. The waiting time even in that busy day was virtually inexistent. The food is great, the bread is incredible and the quality of the dessert are epic. The price... More

Went here for early dinner prior to Fleetwood Mac concert nearby. Apparently, many other patrons were doing the same. It was very busy by 5:30 but there were clearly enough waitstaff to handle everyone comfortably. After a complimentary wine at the bar, we started with a Lobster Bisque special which was absolutely delicious and a Caesar Salad that was good... More

I went here with my friends during Restaurant Week. Since we could get a 3 course meal for only $35, how could we skip out on the Capital Grille? Once you walk in, you're greeted with a huge bar that stretches across the room. The hostess was very prompt in greeting us and getting us seated, even though we were... More

Long overdue review. Went to Capital Grille to celebrate anniversary and it was delicious from start to finish. Because it was our anniversary we were given a special complimentary champagne toast, wine glasses with Capital Grille etched in, a Christmas ornament and a complimentary "delicious" dessert. The meal was fantastic and our server Tom was so engaging and just a... More

I went here on Thanksgiving and as expected the food was excellent. It's a classic steakhouse so the dishes are standard but all are done well. The bread is fresh baked and brought to the table warm. I would eat here more if it wasn't for the price, which is steep. Save it for a special occasion.

Food was Fantastic, ambiance wonderful, service meh. My husband, two friends and I made a reservation at the Capitol Grille for New Years Eve. We arrived at 9:20 for our 9:30 reservation, when i went to check with the hostess she let me know they were running 15 minutes behind and we should be seated by 9:45. I completely understood... Actually 2 restaurants in one. One side with bar brasserie type room and the other really classy with very nice table clothes and nice plates. I have tried the bar side, as I was by myself, and the service was really friendly, full of advices and very professional. I have selected a classical porterhouse steak, and the selection appeared to... More

Always wanted to eat at a Capitol Grille and finally got the chance to do so in Providence. Just what a restaurant should be. The spinach salad, the onion soup gratinee, the steak… all were superb!! The service was excellent too. Would go again!!
