Another great evening

I do love Cav. It's like dining in a cross between an antique store, a lighting supply store, and your crazy grandmothers attic. "Funky" leaps to mind, but really does not do this place justice. I've never been anywhere quite like it. The Magic Time Machine (circa 1980) In San Antonio came close... read more

On a fluke I stopped in foe a great quick lunch. Ordered off the restaurant week menu, food, service and found a great value in an unknown restaurant. Will return for a more in depth exploration.

We were meeting my college roommate in Providence for dinner. Being Johnson and Wales grads we know and love good food. CAV was perfect. Set in the Jewelry District which neither of us remember from school, the restaurant is a gem. Each of our seafood meals was perfectly prepared. Desserts were delectable. The service was very attentive. A great evening... More

The goat cheese omelet is the best-I get it every time. It comes served with bread and perfectly seasoned potatoes. The bloody mary is also fantastic. Can't say enough good things about CAV. Been here for brunch 10 or so times and love going back with family and friends. The eclectic style is pretty cool too, and parking is easy.

This is my third visit to CAV in a few years and I'm actually amazed at how charming it is. The food is excellent, but made even more so by the style and decor of the restaurant. Good service and a nice selection of wines round out the evening.

We have eaten at CAVs an average of twice per month for the last few years and it has consistently been the best restaurant we have ever dined in. When you think of CAVs it difficult to decide what the review first, the wonderful food or the romantic eclectic atmosphere filled with antiques from around the world. Over the years... More

Went here for a baby shower brunch and was truly amazed at the great service and food! I ordered the cheesy eggs and it came with perfect crisp bacon and toasted baguette. My friends ordered the French Toast a la CAV and they said it was fabulous. Since it was a private party, we were all seated in a gorgeous... More

We visited here with family over the thanksgiving holiday. The food and service were good, the menu is mouthwatering! The antiques that are on sale all around the space provide a really interesting backdrop but make the restaurant smell musty like an old furniture store. A good experience and the calamari is a must order!

The most enjoyable restaurant I've been to in Providence. Great atmosphere and truly eclectic decor - warmth, color and light strike you as you walk in. Great contrast to the warehouse district it's located in. Interesting menu and all the food was great - I had the crab cake followed by the black truffle ravioli with turnip. Reasonable prices.
