Small but lovely. I liked Rhode Island. We stayed in Providence and did an amazing 10 mile loop through Newport. Jaw dropping at times. Had a great meal at Brick Alley Pub

The Independence Trail or Providence River Walk along South Water Street and Memorial Boulevard in Providence is a beautiful walk that would take you an hour or two as you stop along the way. The colleges and restaurants are located within walking distance of the river and there are many beautiful churches. Nice spot to get your daily exercise.

Pretty houses and downtown was very nice. Traffic wasn't like a big city and was easy to get around.

Twins Pizza has been a pizza hallmark for 35 years. Quality ingredients along with a commitment from the family run business that has consistently brought a very good pizza that you can count on every time you order.

From beaches to forest, from Mexican to Italian,Greek, Indian, and much more! Rhode Island has much to offer along with one of the top culinary school's in the country, Johnson and Whales University. Also with a huge Navy base in Newport and a coast guard base along the shore everywhere. This state is well protected with its service men and... More

I have been telling everyone I know that Providence is an amazing city to visit. Plenty of activities for all ages and you can enjoy them while feeling safe and not worrying about trouble. I tell everyone about the family atmsophere and I cannot wait to return. A must is the FireWater show.

Every summer I try to make it a point to go to Rhode Island and go clamming. It is only $11 for a 14 day non-resident shell fishing license and we usually head for Point Judith. This year we also went to Providence and also to the Roger Williams Zoo. For a little state there is a lot of things... More

Living here most of my life, naturally, I've never toured Providence until yesterday.. we went on the Independence Trail Tour.. loved it and learned things about RI and Providence that I never knew. You can do the tour self-guided free with your cell phone and/or book a group tour (not sure on the cost, yesterday was a "free day" so... More

This is my 2nd trip to Providence in 2 years and I have to say I am falling in love with it. This trip we stayed at the Marriott and had a fantastic time. The city is designed very clever. There are many canals running through the city and I think 3 rivers. The architecture is very modern mixing old... More
