While in Providence for the new year holiday, friends brought us to Julian's for brunch. We had about a 20 minute wait for a table but were offered coffee while we waited -- thank you! The place was hopping the entire time we were there yet the staff remained friendly and attentive. Our food was amazing, portions were huge and... More

Poorly organized seating (i.e., party of 6 waits forever for a table, while a party of 2 is seated at a table for 6), and while the food was well-prepared, some of our party were not served until 15-20 minutes after the others. The waitstaff is phenomenally overworked (way too few for way too many tables!), and we were just... More

The restaurant is trying to be very trendy. They aren't quite there yet, but still very good. There is not a whole bunch of options on the menu. We had onions rings which were perfect as an app. Then my boyfriend got the ribeye special which he said was good but it wasn't served hot so a little odd. I... More

I love Julian's! They have an ever-changing menu which is nice because I look forward to seeing what new menu options they have each time I visit. They have awesome food, great beer & drinks, and also delicious interesting desserts. It's always busy here so I recommend going at an off time or plan to wait awhile. It is worth... More

Julian's is an artsy ("funky"?) restaurant, with an eclectic menu. I liked it because of the warm and friendly service, healthy options, good food, and nice beer menu. There is free parking, although limited time, since it is outside of the city center. We were there on a busy Friday night, but we were seated immediately. There is only only... More

Known as a local hipster spot for the local Providence residents but has always been a staple for a great atmosphere with even better food! Right down to the pez dispenser display bathroom and the artwork within reminds of a Beale Street hot spot. This was a late night affair catching up with a friend and was happy to return.... More

Had brunch at Julian's in November. We had tried over the weekend but huge lineups. So, on Monday we got a table. I have been here for drinks - good craft beer selection. Menu pretty standard. Everything we had was well done. It's got a diner style of presentation so don't expect little fruit animals on your plate. It's cool,... More

We had dinner at Julians with a group of 6. The restaurant has an excellent beer list, not just good beers but also a wide sampling of styles which is nice. All our food was very good, we got a duck appetizer that was awesome and I had the pork ribs which were great as well. The corned beef and... More

This place tries too hard. "Ooh... look how trendy we are! We can charge $19 for tofu because we have a PEZ dispenser collection in the bathroom!" The food is ok... not bad, not great... certainly not extraordinary (although for the value, the prices are way out of line). Our waiter seemed bothered by our presence and, when asked questions,...
