We live out of town but always make this one of our stops when we're in Providence. There with friends. We had sushi, fish, vegetables, lobster bisque, etc. All excellent dishes. Stopped in during restaurant week and found this gem. Service was very attentive but not overwhelming and the food was very good, oysters plump and cold. Even though the place was full you could have a normal conversation. If you are in town should be one of the places you go.

Excellent food with 5 choices of fresh oysters. Attractive environment, not too loud even though the the bar is adjacent to the dining area. Would offer 5 stars if the service was more attentive. Even though we dined on a Monday evening and the restaurant was not more than 1/2 filled our waiter was relatively inattentive, too bad for him... More

I recently moved to Providence, visited some really good restaurants and Providence Oyster Bar is my favorite. The happy hour lasts for 3 hours until 6:30, and is the best value by far. But what separates this place from all the rest is the incredible staff. They are friendly, engaging, and looking out for you. If there are no seats... More

We always stop for a drink, app's or entrée at Providence Oyster Bar at T.F. Green. Ask for Linda the bartender - she is great!!!!

I love the food but I don't understand why the waiter, and I always seem to get the same one, is cranky and just plain miserable! I have complained every time I go and he's still there! Must be a relative! Usually overcrowded also. Not a fan of the general atmosphere. Not the place for a romantic dinner for sure!

We are very upset to hear of the service you are receiving. From your description it is well below are standards. If you choose to come back (which we hope you do) please introduce yourself to Sean Henessey the General Manager, I have informed him of the situation and he will be sure to speak to you about this and... $1 oysters and half price bar menu items. The bartenders are fun and full of great suggestions. Great service and atmosphere!

We had several appetizers and also a platter of oysters. Although the oysters were delicious it was quite pricey. The appetizers were small and the menu was limited.

Dear El C, Thank you for taking the time to review the Providence Oyster Bar. We are sorry that you thought our prices were too high, due to the quality of seafood we are providing the costs are going to be a little higher, we use nothing but fresh and local. The oysters were pretty good, not great. It was fun watching the shucking. Cocktails were nothing spectacular considering this was a bar. Atmosphere was nice, people friendly.

Dear Margarita200, Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are glad you enjoyed the oysters and watching the shucking at our raw bar. However the description of the drinks are definitely below our standard, we pride ourselves on making fresh tasty cocktails and it is unfortunate for us to here that they were "not spectacular" I will...
