Entire dining experience and Kelly are AWESOME!!!

She is the best host! Great personality, friendly, attentive to details and memory of an elephant! If you ask for something different with a meal, she remembers and the meal is served as you requested. 10 Thumbs Up!!!

We are always trying new restaurants when we come to visit providence. The Federal Hill is one of our favorite place to try new places. This visit, we tried the Providence Oyster Bar. Boy, am I glad we did! This place is wonderful!. We made reservation for 6:30pm and we were seated promptly when we arrived. The booth was big... More

After trying several other reputable oyster places in town, and being disappointed in each, the Providence Oyster Bar came through with an great selection of fresh, salty oysters. John, the bartender, was well-versed in all the menu items. And the service was fast. This will be my first stop next time I'm in town.

We went here 2 weeks ago with some friends. The four of us had made reservations for 6:30 and they were waiting for us when we arrived. The valet parking is the way to go on the Hill. We all had drinks and apps and talked for a while. Our server then came over and took our orders and delivered... More

Let me say we did not dine here, however, we will definitely do so the next time we are in Providence. We did come here for a drink and were pleasantly surprised to find out they have oysters for $1 a piece 7 days a week during happy hour. The bartenders were wonderful and seemed to love their job. We... More

Wasabi Ginger calamari was great, also had the lobster wontons and beet salad. Wine was terrific. The Sesame seared Ahi Tuna was THE BOMB. The baby bok choy, it was just too good. I went back the next night to eat this again and brought another sister with me. I mean, this stuff was just delicious and we all got... More

Moma2girls, I am so happy to hear of your great experiences at POB. Since you visited in August, there is a good chance this baby bok choy came directly from The Spring House garden on Block Island! We truly hope to see you again! Thank you, Tanya Brenton Social Media/Public Relations More

Took my wife here for a Valentine's day meal. Both the sea bass and the swordfish were cooked perfectly, and the lobster mashed potatoes were perhaps the greatest side dish ever invented. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, do directly to this restaurant and order one of their specialties. RI chowder was tasty and the clams were cooked... More

It was the topper to a perfect day. Quite crowded likely as it was valentines. Menu had many options. Food was superb and plentiful. Pricey but in line with other places on the hill.

We met friends here for Happy Hour and it turned out to be one of the best we've ever had! Happy Hour has $1 Oysters, $1.5 Shrimp cocktail, and a host of really delicious appetizers for only $6 each. The oysters were outstanding, the shrimp huge, and several other apps were double delicious. (Try the lobster wontons!). The bartenders were... More

This was our 3rd trip to POB. Always it's been great. This time we went during Restaurant Week and the Prix fixe menu was really, really good. The oysters were big and good. The shrimp scampi was great and the Caesar salad and creme brulee dessert were among the best I have ever had. A great dinner and night.
