Good but not great

How can you go to Providence and not have pizza, right? So we went to Casserta's on Federal Hill and had one. It was very good and we enjoyed it. But I would keep sampling other places on Federal Hill and elsewhere in RI for

I am from Texas but visiting Boston. Decided to come to providence and heard good things about this place. We went about 10am and no one else was there but us. We got a small pizza with all their toppings. It looked good when served but after that first bite I was immediately disappointed. The crust was too crunchy so... More

Heard the radio advertisements - "If you're not eating Caserta's, you're not eating pizza." We drove 30 miles through the busy Rte. 95 traffic and the Federal Hill traffic to have the most famous pizza. We loved the parking lot which is unusual for Federal Hill. The restaurant, itself, was a disappointment upon entering. Looked cold and dingy and with... More

We started with the famed Pig in a blanket split four ways after going to one of the local theaters for a musical. We then moved on to the equally famous pizza which reminded me a lot of the times my grandfather would take us grandkids out for pizza here. This place is a well known Federal Hill pizza take... Years ago, Casserta's was my favorite pizzeria in Rhode Island. The pizza was always delicious, with its thick, crispy crust and abundant toppings. Last night we had Casserta pizza and were disappointed. Although the pizza was delicious, the crust was not as crispy, nor was there a lot of pepperoni or mushrooms on top. Perhaps they are saving money, but... More

I;m visiting Casserta since 1982, its been 32 years of enjoyment, the best Pizza, also I recommend to ask for wimmpySkippy, is like a calzone fill with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, spinach, first time eater and you'll never forget it, pleasant personal attention, great place.

Casserta is known for their spinach pies, but their pizza is nothing to sneeze at either. Delicious sauce and crust. Two of the most important parts of a pizza. Delicious pie you will crave the moment you leave.

I have eaten alot of Pizza, but Caserta's is king! My kids agree; we ordered take out, on the recommendation of a friend. But it was worth the 20 minute drive. The crust was crispy, the sauce was fabulous and the cheese/toppings were fresh. You will not be disappointed, even if you have to wait a few minutes for your... More
