This restaurant is further proof that the further away you venture from Federal Hill the better the dining experience. The restaurant harkens back to an era of more formal dining, with waiters in tuxes, more formal and discreet service, and wonderful food. Don't let the formal make you think of wearing jackets and ties. They are there, but business casual... More

I've eaten here a few times. Food is executed well and the service is excellent. The setting is very elegant. The food is good, if not great, but there is nothing novel here- it is excellently prepared, traditional Italian.

There are so many inviting selections on this menu, it's almost an embarrassment for the time it takes us to make our choices. We brought some out-of-town friends for their first time just after the holidays and they were wowed, even for a couple of professionals from a big city like Baltimore. They couldn't get enough of each other's entrees.... More

Huge menu with many many interesting choices. Lots of specials -- our waiter Nick knew them all. The kind of items you don't see on many menus any more, and a welcome place to try them. Large wine selection, although the majority were very high priced -- you can find some worthwhile wines at more reasonable prices, but there are... More

Knows for it's excellent food and service - I was not disappointed when we decided to have dinner at this location. The snail salad and squash blossom appetizers were excellent. Our waiter catered to our individual tastes and stated the chef could make some slight alterations to dishes that we asked. Also - it was a great value.

Decent food nothing spectacular. Unorganized service. Vanilla panna cotta was out of a jello mold. Presentation looked banquet style for entrees and the soup of the day was not what the waiter told us. Much better options in providence without a doubt, especially given the extremely high prices. A return is doubtful.

Haven't been to Capriccio in years, but thought it would be just the spot after a PPAC show. Friendly service from the curb to table. Clearly they are a well organized establishment with attentive staff. The decor is perhaps a little dated in a few nooks, but well done, still attractive and cozy. The food was very good. Prepared expertly,... More

We had tickets to a show at PPAC in Providence, and decided on Capriccio because of the proximity to the venue, and they offered a theatre special pre-fix option for dining. The experience was nothing short of amazing - service, food, and ambiance. We spent quite a while perusing their extensive wine list before having to make the difficult decision... More
