We dined at Chez Pascal after it was recommended to us by a friend. I was getting tired of the local American cuisine and the sameness of all the menus, so this was a refreshing change. I ordered mussels to start and duck for entree. Both were delicious. My mussels were large and cooked perfectly, no rubbery, gritty molluscs served... More

Dined at this restaurant back in March and thought it was worth a second visit. Arrived early to empty restaurant, asked to be seated at a table on the upper level but hostess declined saying it was for four and promptly seated us at table for four on lower level. Ordered one glass of wine and one soda. We didn’t... More

Charming French restaurant just outside of downtown Providence, apparently very popular with the locals. We were here during the Providence restaurant week and took advantage of their prix-fixe menu. The ingredients are local and fresh, especially the seafood. This is French Alsatian cuisine, the food is honest, but not necessarily very creative. While I had no complaints, what we had... More

This restaurant was a culinary delight! We started our meal with escargot & mussels, both were prepared to perfection. I would venture to say that this escargot was even better than anything I ever tasted in Paris! I ordered a baked half chicken, which was outrageous, served with puréed potatoes and cabbage in a garlic sauce. My family also enjoyed... More

On Hope St, Chez Pascal has a nice European feel with some great food offerings. The house made wurst appetizer is fantastic and would also make a great main entrée. I really want to go back to visit the Wurst Kitchen, another restaurant next door and by the same owner as Chez Pascal. Thankfully, I have successfully turned my wife... More

My daughter and I went to Chez Pascal the night before Easter and we were wow'ed. So much cool food to choose from. We started with the cheese platter, local cheeses paired with interesting jams and chutneys. The sweet onion jam was amazing. We split the escargot, always a favorite. Our waiter helped us choose a really nice French Pinot... More

My wife and I finally tried this place after hearing a lot of positive things, so we decided to stop by for a couple of drinks and to sample the menu. Although this restaurant does not look like much from the outside, the atmosphere was very inviting with a quaint, warm and cozy ambiance. The rooms are split between a... More

Chez Pascal is a very unique restaurant. I sampled many of Providence's "best" but Chez Pascal always consistently offers something special to each dish. It is a place that I return over and over again. Other fine restaurants are very good as well, but not as unique and refined as Chez Pascal. Get the duck, or anything with pork!
