Interesting and well-crafted entrees and apps. Our server was knowledgeable and gave us good advice. Not cheap, but definitely worth what we paid.
Excellent across the board. Would highly recommend. Start with the cheese tray, and add on some delightful pate!
Al Forno and Gracie's, to name just two, are orders of magnitude better than chez Pascal. We ordered a bottle of wine from the wine list. It turned out they didn't have it. The second bottle we ordered was also out of stock. The third bottle was in stock but was mediocre. This is not really a French restaurant. The... More
I had heard about how good Chez Pascal is in the past, but I never stopped by. A couple months ago, my wife and I finally had dinner there. It was incredible. It seemed like no matter what we ordered, it was just so good that it changed my ideas about what food should be. Absolutely perfect. Also, we take... More
I have had two meals at Chez Pascal in the last half-year, both outstanding. This last time, my wife and I both had soup- the corn and clam chowder was smooth, rich and delicious. I had duck on both occasions, both times well-cooked with a superb sauce (cherry and then red current) over an outstanding mix of vegetables. My wife... More
Brought here on our first night in Providence by friends who live in the city. Great location by the park, which we walked through from where we left the car. Great buzz and atmosphere from the moment we came through the door, every table busy. Wonderful service from a waiter I would have paid to see perform as he talked... More
On a recent trip I had so much fun checking out Hope Street shops and ending with dinner at the Wurst Bar. Love the chalk board menu and the atmosphere. They have incorporated metal art work in the décor and a funky kind of rustic with table clothed seating for those smart enough to make reservation, but the Wurst bar... More
We are regulars at Chez Pascal but today we walked over for lunch at the Wurst Kitchen after the Providence Farmers Market. Delicious hot link BLT and pork butt pastrami w sauerkraut outside by the park. Matt's obsession with sausages gives us another wonderful meal! Excellent local ingredients , unpretentious with acute sense for combining flavors. " One of my... More
I have always wanted to try this place so I made a reservation for a Saturday night in July during Restaurant Week 1. I had reservations for 6:15 ( I was dining w/ my mother :oD) and we were seated quickly. The restaurant wasnt full but there were a lot of tables already seated. Over all the dinner was great... More
Take advantage of Restaurant week and RUN to this local gem. First, many restaurants in Providence are participating in the prixe fixe menus but with very limited offerings- Chez Pascal has prime choices for the 3 courses. Second, the team service is responsive, knowledgable and have perfect timing. All in all for the attention to the food, outstanding service and... More
