The food is good but the drinks and the overall vibe of this place make it a favorite of mine. The music is good, the drinks are strong, the bartenders are friendly and its just a great go-to spot for me to grab a drink and an appetizer at the bar. Great memories!

The homemade guacamole and chips were delicious. Both our meals were also mouth-watering, without being too spicy. Within a mile to the Thayer St. bars and restaurants so very convenient. Also very accommodating as we had a movie to catch at the Avon so we were in and out within 45 minutes.

For the past 30 years, this has been my go to Mexican restaurant in Providence. My favorite is the combination plate - bean burritos with tomatillo sauce and cheese and raisin enchiladas with red sauce. The spicy salsa and chips is fabulous. The prices are very reasonable. You can get two meals from one combination plate. The atmosphere is upbeat,... More

We went on a Tuesday night around 630pm and it was jammed! The three of us got the last booth and I was pleased with the coat hooks attached to booth. We were seated promptly and the waitress was pleasant and proficient. They make their own chips and salsa and they are wonderful! I ordered the San Miguel Salmon, blue... More

This was real Mexican food, not the stuff you get at a Taco Bell. Servings were large, hot and tasted terrific. Went for lunch and the place wasn't crowded at all. Would definitely recommend this place for authentic Mexican food.

While the food is still tasty, our service this time around wasn't great. We all felt like we were rushed out of there. Dined there on labor day. Not sure if we will return. I'll make the food at home :)

The best thing about Flats is the hot mango margarita. You must get one. Just the right strength and perfect balance of heat and sweet.

Very tasty Mexican with some New Orleans selections as well can be found here. I recommend the combo plates where you can get two or three items relatively inexpensively and they come with well seasoned Mexican Rice and Refried Beans. Be prepared on Fridays and Saturdays it is very busy and loud inside the restaurant.

I always like the home made salsa and the way you are treated is really nice. The quality of the food it great. I do miss one thing they used to have and that was an outstandign Mudd Pie Ice cream pie was to die for.For some reason they do not have it any longer. Big mistake. But the food... More

Get there early on the weekends or you will have a wait for a table. Or you can "foot jockey" your way to the bar, eye the patrons and figure out who will be the next to leave and stand close to them as you sip your most delicious margarita.(Heeheeheee, worked for us) It's loud, it's fun and the food...
