We have lived in Providence for about a year and have been to many, many restaurants from Al Forno to Classic Cafe and everything in between. This meal was one of our all-time favorites. I had a salmon dish with rice and veggies and my husband had the catfish. Exceptional flavor and prepared exactly how requested. The waitress was lovely... More

Went here on a Saturday evening while in neighborhood. Very nice atmosphere, great staff. Started with chips and salsa, which were great. The "mixed salsa", a blend of mild and spicy offerings was plenty hot! Tortilla chips were hot, crispy, and delicious. We had to pass on the second bowl, not wanting to eat too much before entrees. I had... More

A different spin on Mexican food that is very good, but don't go if you want the real thing. The margaritas are good and strong and the bartenders were great. It's a fun place and very lively. I had a seafood dish that was very fresh and tasty. The carnitias were pretty plain and not very flavorful. The shrimp dish... More

The food is good but the drinks and the overall vibe of this place make it a favorite of mine. The music is good, the drinks are strong, the bartenders are friendly and its just a great go-to spot for me to grab a drink and an appetizer at the bar. Great memories!

The homemade guacamole and chips were delicious. Both our meals were also mouth-watering, without being too spicy. Within a mile to the Thayer St. bars and restaurants so very convenient. Also very accommodating as we had a movie to catch at the Avon so we were in and out within 45 minutes.

For the past 30 years, this has been my go to Mexican restaurant in Providence. My favorite is the combination plate - bean burritos with tomatillo sauce and cheese and raisin enchiladas with red sauce. The spicy salsa and chips is fabulous. The prices are very reasonable. You can get two meals from one combination plate. The atmosphere is upbeat,... More

We went on a Tuesday night around 630pm and it was jammed! The three of us got the last booth and I was pleased with the coat hooks attached to booth. We were seated promptly and the waitress was pleasant and proficient. They make their own chips and salsa and they are wonderful! I ordered the San Miguel Salmon, blue... More

This was real Mexican food, not the stuff you get at a Taco Bell. Servings were large, hot and tasted terrific. Went for lunch and the place wasn't crowded at all. Would definitely recommend this place for authentic Mexican food.

While the food is still tasty, our service this time around wasn't great. We all felt like we were rushed out of there. Dined there on labor day. Not sure if we will return. I'll make the food at home :)

The best thing about Flats is the hot mango margarita. You must get one. Just the right strength and perfect balance of heat and sweet.
