Very pleAsant diner

The bakery looks wonderful. The servers are lovely. I do not love all the food but it is a great place to take kids who will adore the sky high cupcakes. Even the Manhattan clam chowder is good so expect the New England clam chowder to be great

I can't believe I have never reviewed Gregg's?! I have been going here for lunch and/or dinner for well over 20 years. It is always consistently good in terms of value, food and service. The menu has a good variety of food for all, with some local favorites like fish 'n chips and chowder, for example. The food is always... More

if you like filled sandwiches like NY style or just a nice meal they have it at all the locations. where they shine is desserts. Watch out; the chocolate cake is a killer and my dream is waking up with a large piece on a plate for breakfast. Really this is a great chain with very good people taking care... More

Went with my boyfriend recently and had actually planned on going somewhere else. But when we found this place was closed, we just decided to go to Gregg's since it was nearby and we were hungry. I am never disappointed in the food and service at Gregg's! The waitstaff is so friendly and the food, no matter what you order,... More

Make sure you get the pickles right away. (They used to bring them automatically, but now you have to ask.) Over the years, I've had a lot of their sandwiches (one of the best lobster rolls around), and many other dishes. I try to avoid their ridiculously wonderful desserts (like chocolate cream pie). Service tens to be so-so, but it's... More

We went here for lunch during the week so they were not busy. Service was good and food came out quick. We just had small plates, french dip, chicken fingers and club sandwich. Every thing was good and served hot. The desserts are always over the top. Between the 4 of us we shared chocolate cake and an eclare. Both... More

A Rhode Island classic. They have several locations and the food is always good. They have an extensive menu and it is all good. Their desert menu reminds me of a NJ dinner. Little known fact is that they have a take out section. Greg's Chocolate Cake is the best I have ever had.....frequently bought for office birthday parties. A... More

We had breakfast at Gregg's while visiting Providence. Our waitress was a shining addition to the day, and the food was very good. We had a really pleasant visit with our children in such a friendly spot. We bought cake slices to take home for dinner-they were gigantic and very, very good.

We visited Providence, Rhode Island for the North American Bridge Championships along with a lot of other folks from all over the world and wanted to try a local restaurant away from the downtown hubbub and my daughter chose Greggs, a great choice. The problem was choosing from their extensive menu and since my companion and I wanted to maintain... More
