Providence is a place of many great restaurants, but the standout for me is Los Andes. We have gone several times and the food has been consistently amazing, huge portions, and at lower prices than competing restaurants. Somehow the service is always great too, super fast and gracious servers, we've maybe spent an hour tops on appetizers/main meal. Word of... More

Can't say enough nice things about Los Andes. With owners, managers on site making sure everything is just right this place would be great for any kind of meal from romantic to business to family. We started with a drink at the bar. The bartender had great recommendations and miked up mean cocktails with fresh lime juice and more. Delicious.... More

If you don't have a reservation be prepared to wait. That being said, the wait is well worth it! This is a hole in the wall restaurant that is too small for its business but once you're seated you're all set. The waiters are incredibly helpful and courteous; the food is Bolivian and since I'm not Bolivian I was lost... More

This was my first time going to Los Andes and I will say the service was excellent, the atmosphere was great, but the food was good but I thought the steak was too chewy and the chicken was a little dry. The other thing was that we did find a piece of plastic in the calamari but I understand things... More

We had this restaurant on our list for months. Hard to get a good reservation, but take anything and go! Our waiter Brian was super attentive and knowledgeable. The food was so flavorful and beautifully presented. For appetizers, we all had something different. Calamari and seviche amazing. For dinner? Try one of the specials and definitely try a dessert! Fantastic. The ONLY perfect Caipirinha I've ever had in RI. KUDOS to the bartenders. Food A+. So embarrassed I waited until my 29th birthday to make it here. Adam was an outstanding waiter with a great sense of humor.

I read all the positive reviews of this place beforehand, and I have to say Los Andes did not live up to expectations. For the five of us in our party, we found the quality of food was highly variable -- I enjoyed the beef heart appetizer, and there were positive reports from my fellow diners on the empanada and... A fantastic restaurant in Providence - whether it's just a couple or a large group, you're all sure to love it. The eclectic menu is sure to please all, as it has a enough variety to cater to many different needs and I love that it is BYOB. Aside from the delicious food, I though the service was top notch.... Because it will likely encourage you to go to Los Andes, and the lines are already crazy long. This used to be a sleepy little local Peruvian restaurant in the "ethnic" section of Chalkstone Ave. (Bolivian, Mexican, Thai, Vietnamese, we've had them all), but no longer. Los Andes has been discovered and now us locals have to wait in line... More
