Went there on a Sunday night. We wanted craft beer. The waitress steered us to the local insipid Naraganset laget. Later she spilled a soup on our third. Shepherds pie was so-so. Did get a good Sam Adams beer on the second round.

Our visits revealed variable food quality but good service. The French Dip was lousy, but various Reuben Grills were very good, as was the club sandwich. Fries were good and coleslaw so so.

Come hungry! The portions are huge. The meatloaf sandwich is excellent and is more than enough for two people to share.

Stopped in for a Patriots Sunday night game, after reading about the drink and food specials online. Ready to play Keno, again per the website. There were only a few customers - should have been a sign, because the place a few doors up had people spilling into the street. We were informed (pretty bruskly) that they no longer did... More

Just home from a disaster. The family have redesigned an operation that used to work. Looks are looks; food will always be more important than looks. Food was a disaster. Family (owners) present and NOT A WORD.

We were staying at the Dean (steps away), it was Sunday morning, we wanted a drink. We walked in, asked if the bar was open; our crusty barkeep said "if you're one of our friends." We promptly introduced ourselves. Yea Rhode island for early bar openings and crusty barkeep! Said barkeep and staff were opinionated, nice, friendly. Bloody Mary's excellent.... More

We stopped in there this past weekend, small bar area, good beer and good pub food. Would not go there to have a fancy dinner. The staff was great and inter acted well everyone there.

The restaurant was empty when arrived shortly after their Sunday 9 am opening. Service was prompt and pleasant, and the $9. "farmers omelets" we got were huge, but really greasy, as were the home fries on the side. Couldn't eat much of either.

Took a friend here today for lunch who hadn't been in years, I had bragged about the delicious & generous sandwiches Murphy's has long been known for. Sadly we both got what appeared to be a 1/2 portion of meat on a large piece of bread, nothing like what I remembered. I may be back as I work around the... More

I had a fun, relaxing dinner here with friends. They had had dinner here the night before and were eager to return and try the fish and chips. Murphy's is a short walk away from the Rhode Island Convention Center. Cozy Irish pub with great food at reasonable prices and attentive, friendly service. If I had known they served breakfast,...
