opt for octopus

7 of us enjoyed dinner this past week; thankfully we shared 3 orders of the grilled octopus salad - giving each of us an ample portion - it was the star attraction of the meal, the remaining items not achieving top flight level; prior to this meal, I'd never tasted octopus - it was remarkably... read more

Had a wonderful meal. Shared a calamari pizza with a friend for a starter. More Han ample for two. Crust was thin but near perfect texture. Sauce did not overwhelm the tastebuds and had a pleasant touch of spice. Cheese added a nice accent, and he calamari was tender and sweet. Enjoyed the grilled scallops, just barely cooked and tender. And... More

Best advice I have: get there early or prepare to slurp delicious cocktails (margarita is fabulous) while you wait. Service is consistently wonderful, food consistently delicious but expensive. A must every time I am home.

Very delicious food. The setting is formal, more than we usually prefer but not over the top stiff. Appreciated the wait staff, friendly and professional and great to see OLDER women too.

This was our first time at Al Forno. The food was delicious! The gnocchi was handmade and my favorite dish of the night. The chocolate bread pudding was also incredible. However, we were disappointed with the overall experience. The atmosphere was pretentious not inviting, and our server was not attentive nor very nice, which put a damper on the evening.

One of the greatest restaurants in Rhode Island. Great menu, great food, great bar, great cocktails.

Not the same Al forno I remember. Used to be able to have a pizza and salad and feel on top of the world. On my last visit everything from the food to the the level of service was a let down. Soggy not crisp pizza, hovering server, and just bad vibe to what was supposed to be a relaxing... More

Been there twice and not impressed. Light bulbs out on fixtures and pretty dusty. Paper table cloths on the tables and the servers dressed like slobs.I won't be going back to soon if ever, so you don't have to worry about another bad revue from me.

Didn't have a lot of time but wanted that great wood burning oven pizza. As i sat down in relative slow night, first thing I noticed was the bartender spilling a glass of wine on some poor woman's phone. Not a great start, but things happen. Ordered my favorite pizza but wasn't up to par this time. Lacked crunch and... More
