Noisy, bustling Italian, just what you might expect!

A very nice meal, beautifully cooked and presented in nice surroundings. We ate inside, but the outside terrace looked good too. A big restaurant near Fox Point Marina, this place was a hit with us. Rather loud inside, but with a nice ambience and feel. Food was excellent, service fine and the... read more

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely night at Al Forno last week at the bar on the 2nd floor being hosted by the bartender, Kyle. He was funny; helpful; intelligent and welcoming. We enjoyed the spicy corn pizza and baked pasta. The pear tart desert was ordered in advance and was delicious. I would recommend Al Forno to anyone... More

Finally went to Al Forno because of reading how great the pizza was. This was our first visit so we went with the pizza. It was good but not over the top. We both thought it wasn't one of the better ones we have had.

We were a party of four and were intrigued by so many things on the menu that we ordered multiple plates and shared. We started with margherita pizza, it came out before we even had an opportunity to finish reading the menu! It was thin and crispy, sauce, cheese, and scallions. Interesting, I was missing the basil but it was... More

I've been eating at Al Forno for decades and it is hands down my favorite restaurant in the USA. When I make my annual trip up to MA/RI to visit family and friends, it is not complete until I eat at Al Forno. I know their menu is fabulous, but I have always ordered the same things every time I... More

There are not that many restaurants that offer signature items consistently produced that bring you back time and time again. Al Forno is one of them. I have eaten here many times over the years and my favs are the pasta in the pink (baked noodles in a tomato cream sauce with five cheeses); the lightly seasoned fried oyster app,... More

I had an early dinner with my wife and two children. We shared the stuffed zucchini flowers and another fresh zucchini appetiser and both were simply excellent. For entrees we had a rigatoni Bolognese, some meatballs, the monkfish special and the spicy roast chicken. I don't normally order spicy chicken at an Italian restaurant but it sounded good and was... Food is fresh, seasonal perfectly prepared and seasoned. All Forno was at the very beginning of the Prov.foodie seen years ago and is still at the top. It is consistently delicious. Must have pizza! Had tempura stuffed squash blossoms for app. Amazing!

Three words...Lavender Ice Cream, not sure they make it every day or if it's a special from time to time but it's incredible. Their roasted duck is lovely. Service is upbeat, responsive but not intrusive. Highly recommended.

We eat here a few times a year & it never disappoints. We especially like to sit outside under the arbor during the warmer months. We also have the standard grilled pizza (consistently the best). Also enjoyed the beets & frites on this visit. Interesting & tasty
