Al Forno's pizza is definitely far most the best I've ever had. I'm pretty picky with my pizzas - overall picky with any type of food (although I will just eat even though it's not good). Enough about myself, but about this fabulous pizza. The first pizza I tried in Alforno was the CORN PIZZA. It's seasonal. Very sad. But... More

We so looked forward to a very special dinner out at the much acclaimed Al Forno! We were ceebrating our 32nd anniversary with another couple, so we wanted this dinner to be special. Unfortunately, it was not quite what we hoped for. It started with our server who seemed to be very attentive, but couldn't quite get a handle on... More

Thank god we were given a gift certificate and didn't have to pay for that horrible food and service. The service was as poor as it gets and their high brow attitude was unbearable. It was almost like you were lucky to be allowed to dine here type of attitude. The clientele at the bar seemed to fit in just... More

Wouldn't be a trip to Providence without a stop at Al Forno. The food is wonderful and the service impeccable. The view of the river gorgeous!

We'd been here once before and found it charming and romantic. We were outside on a beautiful summer evening. This time we were in the downstairs lounge which really lacked the atmosphere we experienced before. The food was excellent (bolonaise!) but feel it was way over priced. I don't know why tripadvisor had this as one $.

We went with a group of 7 people. They wait staff were all very attentive. We ordered apps (pizza - grilled thin crust and super tasty, clams, calamari, and oysters), 2 bottles of wine, and I had the scallops. I had no complaints about my meal. The serving sizes are not huge but appropriate. For total tab was honestly very... More

We were lucky to get a table with friends on a Friday night. They know the menu well- so they ordered the spicy oil pizza to start- delicious..

I took my college-aged son there and we got there a few minutes before 5pm. We were one of the first tables seated and we were attended to immediately. We left by about 6pm and the free parking lot was about full and people were waiting for tables. Service was brisk without being brusk. We started by sharing the beet... More

Never been, had always heard about it. Cute small place. Started with bruschetta as well as clams: both were tasty and simply done. Split the margherita pizza, which was tasty but very thin. Prices weren't cheap but weren't horrible.
