It was exactly as expected; but "as expected" was a magnificent, perfectly cooked steak! I ordered rare, and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The meat simply melted in my mouth, and the green beans that came with it were a delicious garnish. Fleming's is well-known to be an excellent steakhouse, but it also lives up to that reputation!

My wife and her sister, brother-in -law and nephew dined at Flemings in Providence, RI for New Years. We arrived 10 minutes early and the table was ready and waiting for us. Initially I made reservation for a party of four then the nephew and girlfriend decided to join us. When I asked if they could change the party from... More

The experience at Flemmings on New Year's Eve should have been better. This Premium steak restaurant did not live up to the standards you expect when you visit a restaurant in this price category. First the reservation- when registering I was told the earliest available table was at 9pm. A bit late to dine but it was New Year's Eve... More

I have been here twice. I usually would never visit a Fleming's, but in Providence, you don't have many options. I have ordered many things and nothing has ever come out of the kitchen correctly. Don't try the heirloom tomato salad, which is described as having beets, because you will not receive any beets. I received a mess of pickled... More

It was my birthday and since there was a Waterfire we decided to go to Flemings so we could walk to the river after dinner. When we were being seated the hostess asked if it was a special occasion and for some reason I said "it's my birthday!" (I don't usually say things like that.) the service was impeccable and... Great service, fantastic wine list and great food. We were greeted by a friendly wait staff who asked if this was a special occasion. Its was my wife's birthday. The wait staff knew our names and the manager stopped by to wish a happy birthday. We ordered the four course one price meal. All portions of the meal were great.... More

A quick dinner at the bar with $5 dollar entrees. Yes also a couple of glasses of wine. The wine pricing was what was interesting. On the menu it stated my glass was $11. High, but par for the course for a city steak house. But then it got more interesting. The waitress asked id we wanted the big pour,... More

This is quite a place, the food is incredible the pricing is a ridiculous, but the food is incredible! I had the porcini encrusted filet mignon and each morsel melted in my mouth. We washed down our meal with a tantalizing bottle of red wine from Spain it was a special @ $56.00 a bottle. & dessert shared with friends... More

We stopped in for a quick dinner at the bar. The menu on the table advertised a special "5 for 6", a series of apps and a burger. We all ordered the burger and a glass of wine. The waitress asked if we wanted the "big pour" and we said "yes". The wine arrived and it was what most restaurants... More

Setting is quiet, but kind of dim. Prices are a bit high. I got the filet Mignon 4-course special for $45 which was a bargain compared to the rest of the menu. Service was great and courteous. Food was excellent. More of a "special event" place than a run of the mill eating out place IMHO.
