Beautiful rustic log setting with blazing rock fireplace and a gentleman playing soft guitar music, excellent setting to celebrate a special occasion. Easy to reserve on their website or using the Open Table ap. Excellent service, friendly and attentive servers, great overall atmosphere. The elk is excellent, the prime rib rather bland. I highly suggest the elk, it is full... More

We made a reservation at the Twin Owls based on the rave reviews, but found the dinner to be mediocre. For appetizers, we had the elk kabobs and the smoked salmon. They were both good. For dinner, my husband had the beef short ribs and I had the 4x4, which was a lobster tail and a 4 oz filet. While... More

My friends and I went to this place as a final blowout for the end of our vacation. The atmosphere was cozy and the food was delicious. We got the brie for an appetizer and all had rib eyes for our entree. The steaks were a bit overcooked, but still tasted great so we didn't complain. Would recommend ordering a... More

This restaurant was a perfect start to week in Estes Park for my wife and me. We had tried to come here on a previous trip but were dissappointed when it was closed for a special event. So on this trip we made online reservations through Open Table as soon as we arrived. We were not dissappointed. Although we arrived... More

The Elk medallions were amazing. I was ready to experience a gamey, tough meat but this was nothing what I expected. Tender, melt in your mouth goodness. Got to try it.

What a pleasant surprise this restaurant was. Absolutely beautiful old lodge, we were lucky to get in at the last minute but there was only two of us. We had lamb and filet everything was outstanding but you are almost distracted from the food because this is such a cool restaurant with the fireplaces and logs. Bar is not much... More

We went there to celebrate our anniversary. It is a mystery why they have such high accolades. Although the steaks were cooked correctly, the presentation was like a "diner." Potatoes covered half the plate. The waiter never could come up with a smile. It was just a mistake going there.

Had dinner here - really enjoyed our bartender Matt who was friendly & conversational despite 2 large parties in house. Food was well prepared and plentiful. Large portions. Service friendly and not rushed. A bit pricey, but felt worth it.

Even though we have visited Estes Park for many years, this was our first experience at Twin Owls. It was a wonderful. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service was terrific. If you like mashed potatoes, don't miss their white cheddar potatoes. They substituted them for the wild rice, at no extra charge. We certainly will return.

the rustic atmosphere really appealed to me, but the food wasn't great. Ihad the filet MacGregor, and although the meat was tender, it had absolutely no flavor. For $30.50 I expected more. The roasted potatoes were also burned to a crisp. I must say though, we ate in a few other restaurants in Estes Park, and frankly this one was one... More
