I think having a reservation is key here, we didn't have one and was put in a dark corner by the kitchen by a drafty back door, though there were many open tables....which I assume were reserved. It was a beautiful rustic place, from what we could see from our corner LOL Servers are very attentive and nice. Food was... More

We had soups and appetizers which were all winners. Had the duck entree and was a bit disappointed. The log building makes for a great ambiance especially with the classical guitarist on Friday night. The staff was welcoming and attentive too.

I would have given 3.5 stars. We went here on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday. The atmosphere is great but VERY casual. Many diners wore jeans and t-shirts - the host even had on jeans! Not really what I was expecting. We wanted a nice place to celebrate that was a bit more upscale. The service was pretty... More

We were here for a wedding rehearsal and I could not ask for a better atmosphere or better food for this occasion. From drinks and apps to the beautifully prepared main courses and salad to the fresh bread and desert this place was great! It is a fantastic place to try out some of the more 'exotic' offerings like Elk,... More

Went for an anniversary celebration. Wonderful food and attentive staff. Appetizers for two could have made a meal. Will definitely go again.

We intended to just have a steak but once we saw the menu everything changed. We started with the appetizer tour comprised of stuffed mushrooms, bacon wrapped (large!) scallops and two elk tips. Wonderful teaser, that. We followed the appetizer with Caesar salads, not tart enough for my taste but pretty normal these days. They do add two lemon slices... More

Seated upstairs away from windows, but with a lovely fireplace to enjoy. It was quiet and romantic, even on a Saturday night. Starting with the 1/2 order of beet salad was a good choice. My partner ordered the 4x4 which was delicious! Lobster tail, filet mignon, each 4 oz, with perfectly steamed veggies and new potatoes. The sauce served under... More

A well rounded menu, with excellent choices, that were as good on the table as they were described in print. Excellent, friendly service, with an outstanding view to enjoy while dining.

We had been looking forward to the visit for a birthday meal. I will rate accordingly. The food was very good, well prepared, well presented. The waiter was just awful, we were first seated, waiter approached, no greeting, no welcome, didn't introduce himself, simply stated the 2 soups available and asked if we wanted anything besides water. We ordered beer... More
