We come to Estes a Park two or three times a year and always visit the Rock, especially during happy hour and sit at the bar. When you are tending bar you need to be a little friendly, we practically had to wave a flag to tell the guy we were ready to order. The food is good and the... More

My husband raves about the food here and goes back whenever he hikes Rocky. However, I stopped here on a Sunday and it was Sunday "brunch" with a limited menu. The food was okay but not great. The soup was WAY too salty and the veggie burger patty was basically a slab of refried beans. The fries were good though.... More

It's a true mountain tavern, complete with log rafters and a moose head on the wall. Live music and great food. I fell in love with KC the waitress.

We have been visiting the Rock Inn Mountain Tavern now for many years. We always make it a point when we are in Estes to make a visit to our favorite place. We love the atmosphere. It has a relaxing cabin feel to it. The bar here is always busy and hard to find a seat during the evening hours.... More

This was our second visit to Rock Inn, and it was good both times. The service was excellent. We ate early, and when we went in we were seated next to a warm fire burning in the fireplace. By the time we left the restaurant was filling up and a band was setting up to play live music. It seems... More

If I had done my homework (read here), this wouldn't have come as such a surprise, but we just wandered in and had an excellent meal. There was a three piece band playing and quite a crowd when we arrived about 7 on a Saturday night. They served a variety of beers, but I tried one that was new to... More

We walked in the door at Rock Inn and knew we'd found a great place, with its high-beamed cozy atmosphere and happy times local clientele. We liked it so much, we came back three nights running. A glass of Fat Tire draft and a flat iron steak after a day hiking listening to a blue grass jam, can't ask for... More

Talk about your hole in the wall, but fantastic food. It was our best meal over our three-day stay. It's an old cabin, but the inside is cozy and warm. Much, if not all, of the food is organic, natural or otherwise. I didn't need A1 for the steak - ate it as it came. Happy hour was a BOGO,... More

We were up in Estes celebrating our 3rd anniversary. We really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace, and the whole atmosphere that went with it. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and it was relatively quiet. The waitress was very good. The one complaint I have is that my hamburger was overcooked; but as the menu stated, they only serve it...
