Excellent Place to eat

It was fathers day morning and we needed a place for breakfast. Yelp had good rating for this place so we decided to try it. Its located in a strip center next to safeway so i was skeptical. we had a 15 minute wait which i thought was reasonable on a holiday. The inside seating was pretty full and... read more

I suggested this homey family-run cafe to my friend who had never tried it before. Because it is off the beaten track a bit in the Safeway plaza, it tends to be more of a place for locals, rather than tourists. They offer a big menu with lots of variety. Food is always good. There is a small patio if... More

Variety of American fare. We had sandwiches and they were good, just a bit pricey. Don't ask for an extra plate if you plan to split. There's an extra charge (and they don't tell you there will be).

Once again we returned to Mountain Home Cafe in Estes Park, CO. What an enjoyable experience - the food is tasty, the service is top notch, the prices are very reasonable and the owners care about each customer. You can't go wrong eating at this establishment.

We went there for breakfast on a Saturday in May. The service was alright but, even though they weren't packed, very slow. The food was good. But for a breakfast place the orange juice was really poor - tasted like frozen reconstituted. I would recommend the cinnamon roll French toast - it was tasty. Overall pricey for slow service.

It was time for lunch and we had just found Safeway Grocery. They are in the same area as Mountain Home, so we thought we would try it. It was very busy and that is usually a good sign. We both ordered salads topped with chicken. It was good. The restaurant was busy and it did take quite a while... More

The food is fresh, good old fashioned home cooking. We found it full of tourists but our wait time was only a couple of minutes. Staff was friendly and efficient. Coffee was excellent!

It's hard to mess up breakfast and these guys did just fine. Eight of us met there for breakfast. We pre-reserved the table through their website so we were seated right on time. Everybody had a good meal. No complaints. Good service, too.

This is predictable, low cost diner food. I wouldn't go crazy ordering anything other than pancakes or french toast or eggs. Breakfast is hard to screw up, but also hard to get perfect. They fall into that middle area. But the service was good. We were a large group (8 adults, 6 kids), and we had to split into 3... More

Service was good, but food was just average. I had the salmon benedict and it was just ok. Portions are a good size.
