We ended up with a much longer wait than expected...which the manager apologized for (but didn't offer any comps.) A lot of people ask to sit on the patio, which is quite small, and which led to our long wait. Would be AWESOME if they had the rooftop open on a regular basis but apparently it is only for special... More

Ate here during a downpour on a busy Saturday night. 40min wait so I had a beer (okay 2) and the family went shopping. Got seated about on time. Nice quaint atmosphere. Chips and salsa are $2 but we got a free refill (not sure if that is common or not). My oldest tried a bison burger and loved it.... More

We ate at Ed's for a family reunion dinner. They had a wonderful room upstairs that we had all to ourselves, which was fantastic four the occasion. The food was good, but I wasn't wowed. I was impressed with the service, though. We'd definitely eat there again.

I will admit to possibly being biased as Ed's was a part of a special weekend for me. I spent a lovely weekend camping in Rocky Mountain National Park on a visit to Colorado (before moving here myself!) while visiting my boyfriend. Starving, we made our way into Estes Park that Sunday and had a wonderful brunch here. The staff... More

Sat outside by the river very nice but after the rain the canopy drips on you so would suggest a warning from staff. Call for reservation very crowded. Waited at the bar for a while before getting a drink. But they were very busy...food was good. I would probably try some other restaurants in the area before going back.

On our last night we decided to try one of the restaurants right in downtown Estes Park. We had heard from locals about Ed's so we figured we'd give it a try. It is standard Americanized Tex-Mex fare, but is tasty with a good presentation. We called early and reserved a table outside in view of the Big Thompson river.... More

The food was good. We had fajitas and chips with guacamole. The chips and guacamole were extra, and that was a little weird coming from Texas. There was a pretty good wait to get in, but if you are willing to wait the view from the patio next to Fall River is really nice. I would go there again.

Justin's service was friendly and above average, and the atmosphere was bright and cheerful. My poso'le (Hominy with shredded pork) was a lot different from what I've had in New Mexico, but very good. The chicken tacos with diablo sauce came with a kicky pico de gallo. Enjoyed my meal.

While the food was better than average, the outstanding service is what set Ed's apart for us. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with recommendations and dish descriptions. The clean dining area and nice river-view patio also make Ed's stand out.

My husband knows me well! I love mexican food and a really love when mexican restaurants have good vegetarian options available! I had a vegetarian stuffed chile pepper that was amazing! Guac and salsa also good, I can't report on the cheese dip myself because it had bison in it but everyone else in my family loved it. Also, great... More
