The View Restaurant is a great place to go for many reasons. The food is wonderful. The view is great. The staff was friendly and knew what they were doing. I have been in the business, so I appreciate that. They had some great live music the night we went. Which was just the right touch with my steak and... More

We ate at 7:30 and at one point were the only ones there. It was on a Tuesday or Wed 9/11.. The food was pretty good. It is a neat old resort, just a bit quiet. Nobody was there.

We had a lovely dinner in this restaurant with a gorgeous view of Estes Park and the mountains beyond. This is an old lodge perched high above town. Luke was our server and he did an excellent job-- he was especially knowledgable about all the menu itiems. The lamb was especially well-prepared with wild cherries. For a nice dinner with... More

Great view of the Estes Valley, quality menu, friendly staff, and a great dining experience. It took a little work for us to find the restaurant, but following signs, we arrived easily. We had no reservations, but seating one table away from the windows offered a larger view of the scenery outside. The menu was excellent and the food was... More

Right up there with Twin Owls, nice menu selection, good food, wine list and service...the small cozy balcony is the way to go, If you have a party of two. Thevmain dining room is nice too...just a little dated. Definitely worth a try for a higher end meal in Estes Park.

We took the advice of previous reviewers and asked for a table for 2 on the balcony and it was lovely. However, eating inside quod have been good as well. Both our meals were excellent and, unlike many restaurants, soup or salad is included in the meal cost, making the pricing reasonable. Our server was very pleasant and paid us... More

Beautiful view, historic lodge, great service and Superb food. The menu selection diverse and the Desserts scrumptious. Suggest reservations, and if you're a couple ask about the deck tables for two! I loved the Blue Cheese topped Rib Eye!

The View is inside Crags Historic Hotel. Do check in advance - especially on weekends -they book up and close for weddings! Food was good to excellent. Both visits they were reservations only and overwhelmed with large tables, but we got the two seat outdoors porch tables - which had spectacular views while you were surrounded by flowers.

We ate here last night and had one of our best meals so far in Estes! My husband had the walnut crusted trout which was wonderful...I had the Steak Diane which was delicious! The wait staff was very attentive. We sat by the window with a great view of Estes at sunset. One of our favorite musicians (Dick Orleans) was... More

We live an hour or so from Estes Park, and have eaten there many times, but never tried the View until family came and stayed in Crags Lodge, where the restaurant is located. WOW! The View was absolutely wonderful, great food, great service (Julie, our waitress, was awesome!) and the view...to die for!! Was a very special night and we... More
