Dining is casual yet elegant and offers the best view of Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park through it's 90 foot wall of windows. The menu is an eclectic mix of unique entrees such as the Tenderloin Tower with Shrimp and Lemon Beurre Blanc sauce or Chicken Daytona with Triple Sec Cream sauce. Only fresh, local ingredients are used in the menu and the staff is welcoming and friendly. The View is a perfect mix of atmosphere, views, excellent food and fine wine.

This place was AMAZING! From the breathtaking scenery to the delicious entrees, we were very impressed. The View has such a balanced atmosphere; formal yet personable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, either a romantic evening for two or group gathering, for a pleasurable dining experience.

We recently hosted our wedding reception in our favorite place, Estes Park, and more specifically at The View Restaurant at the Historic Crag's Lodge. We love this location and venue and hoped our guests would also, who attended from across the country. I cannot speak more highly of this venue...from the service, the attentiveness and the attention to detail. The... More

We stopped in for a drink on the deck. There was a wedding reception taking place. Our Irish coffee was great, then the server came over and asked us if we wanted some lasagne that was left from the wedding. It was the best we had ever tasted, the grilled squash was great too. We Eft full and very happy!... More

The View Restaurant is located in The Crags, a hotel with a great tradition. My family and I have had great meals there, so it was with a great deal of disappointment that we had a really poor meal there, on a Friday evening. The chicken was dry - so much so, McDonald's would not have served it. The spicing... More

This place definitely needs a facelift and a dusting. The service we got was good, but the food was off. I tried the brie appetizer and it was cold inside. I had lamb chops for my entree and although they were flavorful, I was disappointed that they were mainly fat and not much meat. The wine list is almost nonexistent;... More

Our reserved table was ready upon arrival, as it appeared to be a very slow night. It took quite awhile for our server to take and then deliver our drink and water order. The dinners were also slow, but good. In spite of previous reviews of soggy crusted fish, we order this and they were not soggy. Hopefully they pay... More

Food was very good and the view of the mountains was nice. There was a guitarist playing lovely music. I heard they might be closing the restaurant after this summer. That would be too bad since it is one of the nicer restaurants.

Hostess, bartender and manager were quite rude and seemed completely clueless of how a dining establishment should operate and treat customers. Very disappointed. Would not even recommend to someone I disliked.

We visited there this weekend and based on the trip advisor ratings and reviews we expected a decent meal. It was the worst meal we have ever had. We were seated and it took at least 15 minutes for our server to take our drink order, it took another 15 minutes for the drinks to be delivered. They were out... More

The view is wonderful from this restaurant but the food leaves a lot to be desired. If you want to see the wonderful mountains go have the homemade soup and a glass of wine then go somewhere else for your meal. So disappointed by service and food at this expensive restaurant. If you want a good steak, go to twin... More
