This restaurant has a fabulous view of Lumpy Ridge and the Stanley Hotel. The restaurant itself is inside Crags Lodge, and is very rustic, but elegant. If you are a "couple", and the weather is nice, I'd recommend reserving one of the outdoor balcony tables for two-- very romantic! The service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive without being... More

The view is very nice, and our service was good. My husband and I both ordered the toasted walnut crusted trout. We were expecting it to have a toasted/crunchy topping, but the topping was just soggy diced walnuts, and the dish had no flavor. I hope other items were better, because I did like the atmosphere, and would give it... More

Let's start with the view which is good and was probably better before the trees grew so tall! The food is very good with lots of choices. I had chicken topped with brie served in a delicious sauce with apple in it. The grilled asparagus that accompanied it was also tasty. The wine list had some good choices on it.... More

The View boasts its romantic balconies in its advertising. And at the bottom of its menu, it promotes group dinners. On the night we dined there, they had three groups of 10 or more, which strapped the hardworking staff, and the three balconies were filled. Those of us in the middle were definitely caught in the middle. While the food... More

I dined here with my mom. We were late in arriving for our 7:30pm reservation (I called prior to let the restaurant know) and there was absolutely no problem being seated. We were seated along a wall of windows that overlooked Estes Park and the surrounding moutains - beautiful. There was live music - soothing jazz/background music - perfect for... More

We've been to Estes Park four times now and have come to the View every time. The food is excellent; more gourmet than many of the downtown choices, yet still had options that our kids enjoyed as well. We love the windows and the historic charm - old skis on the walls, fireplace, wood floors, etc. Desserts are definitely incredible.... More

We visited the View Restaurant while visiting Estes Park this past week. The view was spectacular (hence the name, lol). Add to that the great food and wine...you have a winner. Our server, Luke, was friendly and attentive; gave us some great suggestions of menu items. We even joked with him that he looked a little like a cross between... More

Terrific views, and had 3 small balconies with table for two that looked lovely. We were four so ate in the main dining area which is very pleasant and allows everyone a view through the wall of windows of the mountains through the tops of the pines. The food was delicious, good wine and beer selections. But the deserts were... More

This is a restaurant with a lot of charm. It is located in a historic hotel. The woodwork in the lobby and the restaurant is amazing. The restaurant has a very nice view of the mountains. There are special couples’s tables that only seat two on a balcony. There are two of these tables and both were in use when... More
