Had a large family dinner of about 20 and they were very accommodating to our large group. Service was great as well as the food. Not a lot of great restaurants in Estes but this is one not to miss!

As Estes Park residents we are always searching for fine dining for a reasonable price. We think we've found it at The View restaurant. The historic restaurant at the Crags Lodge offers wonderful vistas and now it has a tasty selection of food for both vegetarians and meat eaters. our table of four were delighted with each dish we tried.

Today was their first day under new management. We've gone here every year for five years and this is the first year we were disappointed. If you're only looking for a good view, it's fine, but the fare is pretty ordinary. It used to be a casual but somewhat fine-dining place with an interesting menu. Now it's a ho-hum menu... More

In a nutshell, the food was mediocre, the service was friendly but slower than molasses and not particularly professional, and we could have just come for a visit, a look-see and left and probably done better. Given that there aren't a lot of good dining options in Estes Park it probably wouldn't take much to make this place better, but... More

We've been to Estes Park many times but didn't know about this restaurant. We will definitely return. The meal was wonderful and the atmosphere (we sat out on one of the private patios) was romantic.

Service - took forever; salad came out 5 minutes after the main course and had to ask for it; slow to follow up; didn't clear dishes; etc Food - steak Diane that was not a filet as advertised; think Garvey type of sauce; limp asparagus; cold mashed potatoes; Don't waste your money.

This place was AMAZING! From the breathtaking scenery to the delicious entrees, we were very impressed. The View has such a balanced atmosphere; formal yet personable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, either a romantic evening for two or group gathering, for a pleasurable dining experience.

We recently hosted our wedding reception in our favorite place, Estes Park, and more specifically at The View Restaurant at the Historic Crag's Lodge. We love this location and venue and hoped our guests would also, who attended from across the country. I cannot speak more highly of this venue...from the service, the attentiveness and the attention to detail. The... More

We stopped in for a drink on the deck. There was a wedding reception taking place. Our Irish coffee was great, then the server came over and asked us if we wanted some lasagne that was left from the wedding. It was the best we had ever tasted, the grilled squash was great too. We Eft full and very happy!... More
