Located in the Historic Crags Lodge, the View is an established, destination restaurant for many people living along the front range. Dining is casual yet elegant and offers the best view of Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park through it's 90 foot wall of windows. The menu is an eclectic mix of unique entrees such as the Tenderloin Tower with Shrimp and Lemon Beurre Blanc sauce or Chicken Daytona with Triple Sec Cream sauce. Only fresh, local ingredients are used in the menu and the staff is welcoming and friendly. The View is a perfect mix of atmosphere, views, excellent food and fine wine.

Getting better, give it a try!

In years past this restaurant was declining in all areas. We almost did give it a try, I'm glad we did. Even though the place was almost empty, we didn't feel out of place, we love the charm. Both the trout and short ribs were home runs. Looks like The View is on its way back to becoming a... read more

The restaurant (in Crags Lodge) can be hard to find, but it's worth the effort. The restaurant is very nice with a good view of the mountains. The menu has many interesting choices, including vegetarian options. My wife and I had duck confit and trout baked in paper. Both were very good. Our vegetarian daughter had the Mediterranean quinoa salad... More

Stopped by for their Happy Hour offering in the bar area. Pleasant area on deck outdoors, overlooking Estes Park. However, bar offerings were limited, had to search for bartender after tasting our drinks. Dining area is lovely, but menu is limited and pricey. This beautiful facility, with charm deserves more than it is currently offering.

A chef has arrived in Estes Park and what a delicious meal did he prepare. Enjoyed the scallops with pesto which were cooked perfectly and the pesto imparted great flavors. Tasty salad, as well. Enjoyed the wine list which offered nicer fair than the usual restaurants in Estes. My friend raved about her meal as well. For a special night... More

We brought our out of town guests here for dinner, and it was amazing ! The views and ambiance are the best in all of Estes Park, and the service was warm and friendly. Two of us had the lamb shank, and it was absolutely delicious, marinated in an amazing sauce and cooked to perfection. The duck was listed as... More

The 2 meals we have recently had there were really fantastic. Everyone could find something they liked on the menu. Very sophisticated food. Beautifully presented with good service. The chef visited our table both times we were there. We live in Houston and home in Estes Summer and Fall. This is by far our best experience eating out in Estes.... More

We found this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews. It was outstanding in every way. Not crowded, great food, amazing view. Great for a romantic dinner or a large group.

There were very few things on the menu, and the only pasta was something spicy. If you want a salad, you better like feta cheese because I think that was on all of them. My husband and I both had the chicken. It was flattened cutlets and very tasty. It came with a good sauce. The mashed potatoes had no... More

We are local residents of Estes Park, and went here for dinner with a $50 gift certificate from last year, no expiration date. Ordered food, very expensive($13.95 for the 1 burger on menu) limited menu. Came time to pay, found out under new ownership as of 2 months ago and would not accept gift certificate. Talked to owner, didn't give... More

Good service, nice ambience and great food. Had the short rib pot roast and it was exceptional. Best I've ever had. The trout impressed as well.
