The View Is Velly Good!

High up on a mountain overlooking Estes Park, the View Restaurant offers very good food, pleasant service in a rustic setting. My family has dined at the View many times and are never disappointed.

The service was horribly slow. It must have taken 45 minutes to an hour between ordering and getting our appetizer. Shortly after we received the appetizer, we received the entree. They apologized that they had a staffing issue; however, the restaurant was not that crowded. The poached fish that I ordered was excellent. I tasted but did not like the... More

This is an ideal setting for a special dinner and getaway - birthday, anniversary or just because you're in search of a classy, unique experience. The menu is limited but with varied singular offerings of fish, lamb, beef, chicken, duck and pasta with tasty salads, soups and creative desserts. The food is deliciously prepared and beautifully presented under the direction... More

The chef at the View Restaurant at the Historic Crags Lodge creates delicious and unique dishes. From the spinach and artichoke empanadas to the perfectly grilled and sauced filet -- the dinner was a delight. Highly recommended! A new Estes Park favorite.

My sister and I dined their for the first time last week. It was one of the absolute best meals I have ever had eating out in Estes over the past 25 years! I had the Parmesan crusted chicken breast served with asparagus and mashed potatoes with a side of melted Brie butter sauce. We asked for bread which came... More

It was off-season while we were there so their menu selection wasn't so wide but what they did have was delicious. I honestly wanted more when I was done. I'd tell you what I ordered but they change their menu everyday. The service was great, the food was great, and the view itself was pretty spectacular. They don't call it... More

Stayed at the Crags Lodge and had dinner at The View for our anniversary. The food was unique. I had a Filet Mignon which was perfectly prepared with an excellent seasoning and the side was multicolor cauliflower with butternut squash. A very good flavor combination. My wife has the salmon with fantastic roasted vegetables.
