Some great American food options, meat eaters will not be disappointed. Some off the beaten path protein selections make it good for adventurous meat eaters too.

Nice little restaurant downtown Estes Park. We stopped for lunch and I had an elk burger (my first) that was done to order (medium rare). Very tasty served with monteray Jack Cheese and guacamole which had a nice bite to it. They had a wonderful variety of meats and toppings from which to choose when having a burger. They also... We were led from the dinning room out onto the deck and then into another dinning room. It was raining and cold and there was only one other table. There seemed to be no one around who was concerned about taking care of us. The server came over quick enough but that was the only quick about it. The food... More

I loved my yak burger, but the $3.00 upcharge for my side salad (nothing but lettuce and dressing) was ridiculous! This is a great local place with a nice western ambiance, and not a bad place for a bit of a splurge. We drank waters and had burgers, but for the two of us it was over $30 before tip.

We stopped at Grubsteak in search of beer and something to tide us over until dinner. We had chips and guacamole and were pleasantly surprised by the quality. They said the salsa and guac are made in house, and it was delicious! So much so that we asked for a second portion of guac to go with our chips. Can't... More

Some friends and I ate there for lunch on a Sunday when in town for a wedding. Food was pretty decent and hit the spot for s good burger. We ordered the pepper poppers for an appetizer creamy with a little bit of spiciness. As an entree I was most intrigued by the big game burgers so I went for... More

We stopped here to grab a burger one day for lunch. I had a soup and half sandwich and my husband had a burger. The food came out and was overall pretty good but the portions were so small! The 1/2 Ruben that came with my meal had a very small amount of meat. What was there was pretty tasty.... More

We stopped in for a late lunch in Estes at this location and while initially we were the only ones in the back seating area the place filled quickly. After selecting a great specialty cocktail (the pear martini-fabulous) I chose one of the burgers and had the choice of type meat--at the bartender's suggestion I tried yak and was treated... More

We sat at the bar area, which is pretty cool. I had a buffalo burger which I could tell was pre- made... It wasn't very thick and was perfectly circular. It was good but not as juicy as I would have hoped. Not the best but not the worst.
