Was up here with my husband and a friend for a fall color drive a few weeks ago and stopped her for lunch. I have a hard time finding good restaurants in Estes Park and was pleasantly surprised to really like this one. We all three loved this place. They have a large patio seating area out back and it... I came here expecting a kind of classy dining experience , after seeing all the employees dressed in nice collard shirts. Even the menus looked nice and we'll put together. I ordered the cowboy burger made of elk. When I received my food it was brought in some sort of basket. If I wanted a "fast food" type of place... More

First time ever having a Yak burger. It was amazing. I ended up gong back again before I left. I rarely do that. The service was good and the food was great. Will absolutely come again.

This place was interesting. The environment was unique--nothing fancy. We had expected it to be a bit nicer when it came to aesthetics. However, our server was helpful, and the food satisfied. When we ordered, our server offered to bring a sample of sweet potatoes to make sure I liked them, and she also correctly determined that the trout wouldn't... More

Nothing fancy but very good if you stick to burgers and such. Moderate pricing. Try it after a day of hiking.

We were in town for a quick Columbus Day vacation and walked past Grubsteak at dinner time. The menu looked good, so we decided to eat here. Our mistake. The good? Our daughter's kids meal came out very quick. The bad? We never received our appetizer, and our trout was flavorless and lacking any sense of deliciousness. I ordered a... More

The service was fantastic and the prices were moderate. Worth every penny though. The menu choices made it hard to decide what to choose. So we chose a bunch of different dishes and shared. Not disappointed in any of them. Yummy!!!!

Recommended by our hotel, so we stopped by for an early dinner. Friendly staff. Local beers available. Fries were hot and fresh. Many types of burgers to choose from. My husband had the elk burger and really enjoyed it. I had the veggie burger (Sunshine brand) and it was also delicious. We started with chips, salsa, and guacamole and it... More

I chose this place, partly because it was opened later than some of the other restaurants in Estes Park ( several close at 8 on a Friday!) It was pretty busy and I sat at the bar, elbow to elbow with the other diners. Chris, the bartender, was great - friendly and helpful in choosing a good style of burger.... More
