Comfortable

Food was good, with an interesting offering of game animal dishes. Mid-range prices. Good selection of beers.

We found this place last year when we were in Estes and ate there twice. This year we have eaten there twice already. Burgers are great and you can get elk, yak, bison or beef. Great beer selection and patio is nice. The staff isn't always the best. We have had really good and really not. Still will be on... More

Was in Estes Park for a family reunion. Made a reservation for 14. Upon arriving, the hostess said our table wasn't available and he would get the manager. The manager came out and said we could sit in the bar while we waited for tables to empty and when we were seated they would take extra special care of us.... More

Home run. Good food, good service, and great location. I'll be back for sure. Not inexpensive, but comparable to the other restaurants in the center of town.

We ate here mainly because my wife has gluten allergies and a web site indicated they might be a safe place to eat in that regard. We wound up eating there two days in a row. They accommodated my wife's dietary restrictions very well and she had no problems. The food and service were excellent. Our waitress the first night... More

We ate there in 2014-good food and fun atmosphere. There was a great selection as well. It seemed to be a popular place for the town.

My husband and I chose The Grubsteak Restaurant after driving Trail Ridge Rd. through RMNP. We were sat quickly in the bar area. I had a traditional cheeseburger, and my husband had an Elk burger....both were good. Our server checked on us a few times, but didn't try to have any sort of conversation. We overheard the server at a... More

We came in with a group of 12, not knowing they take reservations. They were not sure they could serve us at first, but kindly placed us at two table of 6, which we were fine with. They have picnic tables outside as well as inside seating. The menu includes salads, sandwiches and dinners. Moderately priced. The food and service... More

We travel up to Estes Park each year for the Bagpipe parade. The Grubsteak has become our annual lunch spot. Great variety of wild game burgers and plenty of room in the back for our group of 16 people.

Had the Ruben which was great - wife had the chicken guacamole sandwich which was good as well. The sides were nothing special onion rings that you find in the frozen food section and potato salad that sure looks like it come right out of the plastic container. The service was great and we will return.
