We use to visit this restaurant and moved away. Just recently returned and was looking forward to a great meal. Was advised from our server that the restaurant had been bought out by new owners. The shrimp was so overly breaded that you could not taste the shrimp. The spaghetti was dry with very little sauce and my husbands lasagna... More

This restaurant was so over recommended that it was doomed to disappoint. The food was "meh". I went basic Italian with the spaghetti and meatballs and my husband had the lobster pasta. His was so dry that I wondered how he was able to finish it. Mine was very much akin to grade school cafeteria fare. The best part of... More

I'm sad that we didn't live up to your expectations, Kathleen. Every dish that comes out of our kitchen should be delicious and cooked to perfection. It sounds like we dropped the ball on that when you were here, and I apologize. I'll touch base with the team about your concerns and hope we can have the chance to welcome... More

This is a hidden gem in a low key atmosphere you just wouldn't expect to be so amazingly wonderful. It is a small little place with a great atmosphere and not uptight at all with excellent Italian and fresh seafood that I could compare with the coast. Lobster lasagna was to die for and tried a new sangria - peach... More

If your looking for the best place to eat in Estes Park, look no further. From the moment I stepped in to the Dunraven it blew me away. Melissa was working the front of the house and was hospitable and friendly. Sam at the bar could not have been more professional. His service was 5 star. I didn't really chat... More

I can't tell you how much that recommendation means to us -- thank you! It sounds like Sam was really helpful with suggestions, so I'll make sure he knows how much you appreciated that. We can't wait to have you back for another order of lobster baked ziti sometime soon. Cheers, Andy More

My husband and I had dinner at Dunraven tonight. It was a friendly, noisy, Italian restaurant. The service was excellent as was my martini. The salad and bread were also very good. The entrees are huge and very good. I wished we would have shared one. I would return to this restaurant again.

Very disappointed. We were looking forward to some good italian. What we found was a very noisy, crowded dining place. Service was good and we were promptly seated. Menu looked good. Food was a huge disappointment. Except for the salad, everything was over seasoned and undercooked. Chef is in love with garlic and oregano. Even the potato/mushroom soup was heavy... More

It's really disappointing to hear that you were unimpressed with your first visit to our place. We do pride ourselves on making delicious, flavorful Italian dishes, but we would never want you to feel overwhelmed by the seasoning. Please know that I'll be talking to the staff about your feedback to see how we can improve moving forward. I hope... More

My wife and I visited Dunraven Inn last week for dinner and had an excellent meal. Both of us had seafood entrees. I had the cioppino and my wife had the scallops. Both dishes were excellent. The cioppino is a large dish but the scallop plate might be a little small for a big appetite.

We went to the Dunraven due to a local Estes Park resident referral. Very disappointed! Staff was friendly, the restaurant was dark. Reservations were accepted. The restaurant is an Italian restaurant. My husband ordered the halibut. He says it was okay, not great. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The light order was large. One meatball of which was huge.... More

Although I'm glad you took that recommendation, it's a bummer to hear that you didn't love your meal with us. Our staff is always happy to discuss the menu with you so we can find something more your style, so I wish you would have taken us up on that. We have some other delicious dishes that aren't spicy at... More

You would do well to order the basics here like spaghetti and meatballs or prime rib. Stay away from anything more exotic. This is a "finer dining" restaurant and the prices are reflective of that.

While I'm happy you've enjoyed our Italian dishes and prime rib, it's a bummer you don't love the rest of the menu. Still, I understand that everyone has different tastes, and I'll make sure to pass along your feedback to the kitchen. Hope we can have you back in sometime soon. Cheers, Andy More

This place is alwasy crowded so need reservations. Superb dining! Fabulous Scallops best I ever had after Ranger suggested this at the Park. Huge portions nice to split with Lasagne. great food and steaks. Some of nicest dining in Estes Park, possibly the best overall in fine dining atmosphere.
