I really like this place. My husband and I have had a hard time finding authentic Mexican food (not "southwestern" or "New Mexican") in northern CO. This place has the type of food we were looking for. Refried beans that melt in your mouth, well-seasoned beef, and a salsa that beats most of what we have tried in the Denver... More

This place is amazing...the staff is friendly, their food is amazing and the bartender's margarita is one of the best margarita's I have ever had. Definitely get the green chili on your burrito! You won't be disappointed!

We had dinner here after a full day hiking. We were seated promptly and chips and salsa were brought to the table when the waiter came to take our drink order. I ordered their Original Margareta and it was exceptional. Our enchilada verdes and burritos came shortly after. The food was good, but could be spiced up a bit. I... More

When eating in a tourist town, it is important to know where the locals eat. That is a sign of better food. The chef is from the old El Grande restaurant and has gone back to the basic of good mexican food.

On my first visit to any Mexican restaurant, I always order beef enchiladas, shredded beef if available. These were some of the best enchiladas I've eaten. The shredded beef was very tender; good flavor without being over spiced. And the sauce complemented the enchilada perfectly. The accompanying rice and beans were also excellent. We ordered the shaker of margaritas which... More

The reason for the title is that I thought it was very good, at least mine was but my husband's wasn't as good. I had pork Verde with beans, rice and tortillas, the pork was very tender and flavorful and I was so full for hours after! My husband had something similar but his was with a flank steak that... Good selection of vegetarian dishes. Good all around Mexican food. The restaurant was not expensive and the service was good.

The service and food are very good. We love to support a family owned and operated restaurant especially when they friendly, helpful, service is good and the food is good.

I loved this little restaurant. It's in an odd place but the food is great. Good sized portions, polite staff. My husband is a very picky eater and doesn't like Mexican food, but they built him a burrito that he absolutely loved!
