I visited the Lodge and restaurant with my parents from Alabama and were thrilled at the Colorado menu selections of Elk and Rocky Mountain Trout. These were both excellent choices and my parents are "foodies" from the south which has a strong culinary culture so expectations are always high. The dessert came along after our entree and the table was... More

The Game Meatloaf (bison, boar, elk and venison) was awesome! The salmon was moist and tasty. Had the brussel sprouts and the vegetable medley as sides. Both were delicious! The view is also wonderful. We will be back!

Mary's Lake Lodge used to be one of my favorite dining options in Estes Park. They had a tavern AND a fine dining section. The fine dining was EXCELLENT quality and service. Unfortunately, they have turned the entire area to the Tavern, and the menu is also different. We went there a couple of nights ago, and the food was... More

We stopped in for a quick bite and beer and were very impressed with the beer cheese and French onion soups. We brought the whole family back for a full dinner on the porch. We all really liked everything about the experience. The food is mountain comfort - trout, elk meatloaf, burgers. The kids and the adults all enjoyed it.... More

Our expectations for eating at a resort restaurant have never been very high so we initially considered going into town for dinner. We noticed that the restaurant at Mary's Lake Lodge was busy and had a nice selection of craft beers on tap. The menu had a good choice of options so we chose entres that we could share. The... More

We always stop and eat a couple of times at Mary's Lake Lodge when we stay in Estes Park. If the weather is right (which is most of the time) we sit out on the deck and enjoy the beautiful views while we eat. The food is not the typical bar food it is much better with great choices. The... More

The food was ok, maybe a little better than average. The green beans were swimming in a sweet syrup, gross. Our waitress was also ok but we could tell she was over-sat. It was Friday night and hardly anyone was working! We ended up sitting with empty glasses and dirty plates for at least 10 minutes. When our plates were... More

We went for a long, hot hike and were looking forward to a nice cool lunch at the hotel when we got back - visions of fresh garden salads dancing in our head. What we found was a bar food menus with no salads and no imagination. A lot of salt to get you to drink more. There were about... More

After a long day of sight seeing, this is a great place to relax and have dinner. Their selections were varied and the view delightful.

Went here for dinner our last night in Estes after not being able to get reservations at some other places we wanted to go. Someone suggested this place to us. The views were nice, but overall it was very disappointing. I was hoping for a nice quiet dinner, but it was not to be. When we got back, I wanted... More
