Lunch. Asked the waiter when the trout had been caught and had to remind him once - eventual reply "this week". This is not good enough for fish, but I had it anyway since it was on the "specials". Not very good. Daughter's orange juice was slightly "off"; husband's elk burger OK. Dining room was dingy, dated and depressing. Don't... More

Can get busy at times. Lots of choices on menu, food was good and service was good. I think they should remodel the place, and the food could be tweaked along with the menu, it just wasn't outstanding.

We stopped by for dinner and enjoyed the 2 for 1 happy hour drinks and $5 appetizers. My husband ordered the salmon and was very pleased that it included a small but fresh selection of veggies for their salad bar, warm fresh bread and a cup of homemade soup. I had the nachos, which were plentiful. The setting was quaint,... More

The food was just not good. I had the elk chops and told the manager when he asked that they were very gamey and just too tough. I have eaten venison for years but these tasted very wild and had little seasoning. The manager, to his credit, took the chops off our bill. The service was marginal at best. I... More

We ordered trout and an elk burger but the trout wasn't anything special. The elk burger was good - juicy and with the bacon on top added an extra crunch. They seated us in a quiet corner overlooking the street which was fun to people watch and see the horse-drawn carriage clip clop by.

My husband and I just finished up a nice little hike in RMNP and wanted something to eat that we didn't have to pay a lot for. We had been here years ago a lot nd decided to try it again. We usually go to smokin daves but didn't want anything that heavy. We ordered the Buffalo burger and elk... More

Rubbish dinner. 1\3oz hamburger (maybe) with a bun of the supermarket. The cheese is optional for $1 and it is plastic cheese of the same supermarket. Dirty floor, dust around. My friends complained as well, about tortellini and veggie burger. Never more.

We had a hard time finding place we liked eating at in Estes park. Didn't find many we liked or felt there were a lot of choices. This was the best one we found. Really recommend the French Onion Soup. Good drinks.

If spotlessly clean bathrooms are your primary concern than this is your place. But if good food and exemplary service are your goal--STAY AWAY! The house specialty this night was elk chops. We've had them before, but these wore our jaws out from chewing the rubbery AND EXPENSIVE mess they brought us. The service was no better. the waiter was... More

We had an Elk and a Buffalo burger so we each could have a taste of each one. Both were good, but we both preferred the Elk meat. The owner checked in on our table as did the manager. The service was good. The prices reasonable. (Later found a coupon on the back of the Safeway receipt when we shopped... More
