We have eaten more than once at the Stanley. This time we sat at the bar and were amazed at the number of whiskies available. The bartender said they had close to six hundred. Another gentlemen behind the bar seemed to be the "whiskey expert" and said his boss wanted a thousand whiskies by the fall. So you have wine... More

We started our evening in the bar for cocktails. Partner had a raspberry vodka something that she liked so well it called for an encore. Given the atmosphere and the Stanley's extensive whisky menu, I was in the mood for a Sazerac. The bar actually features a specialty drink that they claim is their version of the Sazerac. After much... More

Overall the service was very good - we ordered a steak medium/rare - arrived medium/well. Returned it and unfortunately got a rare steak. Decided to enjoy it anyway - didn't want to wait for another steak and delay everyone else's meal. Meatloaf was interesting - not sure about the spice used - odd flavor. Best part was the fact that... More

We were excited to have a special dinner here but were bummed because they were over booked. We sat at a table in the bar area and the service was mediocre at best. Menus were tossed on our table after about a 15 minute wait... No water or greeting until then. Waiter seemed annoyed and was serving several tables...perhaps understaffed?... More

We had Cobb salads which were very good, on the patio by the waterfalls. Nice place to eat while on vacation.

In spite of the very busy (and possibly understaffed) dinner service, our waitress was extremely attentive and helpful. Our steaks, sides, and desserts were top-notch excellent. Yes, this is an expensive restaurant but the Cascades offers a unique experience that is worth every penny.

Undercooked and tough steak then they substituted a different cut for the rib eye steak I had ordered. Free dessert doesn't cut it. Didn't want to make too big of deal with guests we had invited to fine with us. Restaurant is at one end of the bar-- sure doesn't add to a fine dining experience. Waiter ignored our empty... More

My friends and I dined outside on the back patio of the hotel. Despite nearby thunderstorms we were well covered by the large square umbrellas and stayed perfectly dry. I had an Angus burger with cheddar cheese cooked to medium. It was the best hamburger I've had in a long time. I also ordered their iced tea which is a... More

I stayed at the Stanley Hotel and ate several meals at the Cascades. Not only was every meal very good the service was great. Friendly service (especially by Emily) and it was also fast service. I ate in the restaurant and the bar and both sports were great. We had long days in Estes Park so a good restaurant was... More

Our party of six, spanning three generations, had a delightful lunch in the Cascades restaurant located in the Stanley hotel. Even though it was the busy July 4th weekend, the service was terrific! Natalie, our server, seemed to know our needs before we did. The beer, sandwiches and salads were quite good, and the kids menu hit the spot with our... More
