Dined there on three different occasions. Service was fair to good depending on waitress. Food was very good. Steaks and short ribs were excellent. Not a fan of the olives in the oil that came with the bread. Overall I would recommend the food but be prepared it's very expensive for this area. I ate cheaper comparable meals in Aspen... More

I had brunch here and the food was good. The servers were very friendly. There were a couple large parties so the service was a little slow.

The ambiance is wonderful but there are not a lot of selections for children on the dinner menu. If you are a guest at the hotel, be sure to get a snack to bring back to your room as there are no other options for snackers.

We started in the whiskey bar as I am an avid bourbon drinker. Our friendly waiter flighted me three great bourbons on the blind - fun! Depending on who you talk to, they have anywhere from 700-900 whiskies. The bar is beautiful and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. A must see if you liked Dumb and Dumber - the... More

Trust the waitress and their suggestions for the meal and wine. Our favorite entree was a filet offered as a special. We never had room for dessert!

Regular menu choices and well and some interesting other choices including vegetarian. Meals are very adequate in proportion, enough for a little leftover. Very nice service.

The food here is good enough. The whole ambiance of the grand Stanley hotel makes it a must stop. On a recent visit I had the haddock. A bit over cooked but tasty. My husband had the meatloaf, a mixture of beef, bison and elk and he raved about it. Service was good although our waiter had such a strong... More

We stayed at the Stanley for two nights following Thanksgiving. We had breakfast at the Cascades and while the food was good, it wasn't great. Service is touch and go and slow at times. Not what I would expect for a resort hotel. While the Stanley is a beautiful historic hotel, the Cascades has room for improvement.

We just went for drinks and appetizers in the bar. The martini my wife had was delicious. I selected from 850 whiskeys. Our food was great. We had a sausage and pretzel. Our son had a cheese soup. All were delicious. Our waiter was incredibly busy, but was friendly, attentive, and did not rush us, providing suggestions when we asked. Great... More

My wife and I enjoyed a great meal after the tour we took of the hotel. We had a couple drinks at the bar and were seated c,one to a window looking out at the mountains behind the restaurant.
