Small town diner with great food and large portions. The food is tasty, filling, and exactly what you'd expect from a family diner. We ate breakfast here. The gravy in particular was delicious. We ordered country-fried steak (with hash browns, two eggs, and rye toast) and bacon & eggs (with biscuits and gravy). If you're looking for somewhere to fill... More

We always eat here when staying in Crescent City---the hotel we stay at (Ocean View Inn and Suits) gives a discount if you show your room key. Sometimes it is as good as Denny's and sometimes it is just plain not so good! I think they stink at doing kid's food--unless you order breakfast, but even then it is so-so.... More

Very long wait for seating, under staffed. Service was very poor and food was comparable to poor quality fast food. Portions small for price.

Always on the lookout for an apple pie. This restaurant was recommended by locals and we were not disappointed. Great supper and great apple pie.

We visited this diner for lunch one day. I ordered the soup and half a sand which. The soup was split pea and ham but it was sort of the consistency of glue so I only ate one bite. The half sand which was to be ham and Swiss cheese. After biting into the sand which it seemed to be... More

Stopped here on evening for an early dinner as we were passing through town. It was OK, but I would probably visit another diner if I was ever in town again. Service was friendly, but a little slow. I overheard our waitress on the phone with someone saying they were busier than normal - I think she was trying to... More

We stopped here for lunch after a long drive. Great service and the wait staff were friendly. I ordered the burger with grilled pineapple and it was delicious!!! The coffee kept on coming, too. Very attentive staff even though the restaurant was busy. Wish I had room for dessert. . . the pies looked delicious.

I can't say much good about this place. Funky interior, poor service and mediocre food. I ordered a grilled fish dish that included battered fish with a weird, frozen taste. Being right at the ocean, I figured fish would be a good choice, but no. Probably should have stuck to a salad, but the the ones I saw while walking... More

We usually stop in Crescent City and eat in the harbor. This time we decided to grab a quick bite at the Apple Peddler on the highway. Big mistake! The inside is old and tacky and not in a quaint way. It took a long time for someone to seat us. There was no hostess, just waitresses figuring out who... More

Food was good, service was good, but things were pricy. The au jus was really good. The meat had really good flavor in the Philly sandwich. They do have a lot of deserts but we didn't order any.
