Enjoyable Dinner

Nice local restaurant with hometown flair. The dining room is large and we shared a "long" table with another couple. Living in Utah, we don't get an opportunity to have great fish & chips often. So when we head to the coast, it's pretty much all we eat. If you're looking for fresh, crispy on the outside, fall apart in your mouth delicious on the inside, beer battered fish and chips while enjoying Crescent City, THIS is the place to... More

Had both dinner and breakfast here. Service was very good, food tasty and generous portions. The crab benny and sourdough bread were great. Fantastic view of sea lions while eating.

Good seafood, great service. Our meal came fast and well presented. The only flaw of the whole meal were the side vegetables, they would've been better if they would've been fresh rather than just some generic frozen ones. We had a good mix of everything: clam chowder, steamed clams and fish. Chowder was very good!

We had lunch here, great fresh food, good size portions, nice and cozy inside. good value for money. I was especially thrilled to see about 100 seals perched on the wooden planks on the harbor right next to this place which made for fantastic seal watching!

The beer battered fish and chips very nice. The coleslaw good not overdressed. We also had the fish tacos which were fine, good for weight watchers. The price seemed fair. The entry and outside of the building could use a good cleaning and touch up. I felt a little apprehensive about eating there on the entry alone. Looks popular at... More

Crescent City is very limited on restaurant choices so when we think of going out, The Chart Room is definitely one of our top choices. The servers are always friendly and the food has always been good for us. I have heard others say that their food was not so good so I guess it can depend on the day,... More

Old wood floors, long tables and big windows to enjoy the fishing harbor and usually lots of sea lions to entertain. Excellent fish and chips, chowder and sandwiches. Be prepared for large serving. Some dinners come on two plates! It is not unusual to meet people who have traveled 100 miles just to eat there.

I was sad they were out of the crab special. I decided on the steak and lobster. Lobster though small had good flavor and was grilled rather than steamed. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful. Sadly the veggies were frozen not fresh. My husband had the seafood combo. Perfectly crispy batter and HUGE portion!!

Went here on the first night after getting into Crescent City. I came to explore the Redwoods! Great, low key, laid back, place! Great clam chowder. Fish and chips were good, but just a bit bready for my taste. Would have preferred bigger pieces of fish or less breading. Fries were good as well. Quite a few beer choices too!... More
