Great family run Mexican restaurant

Stopped here last year on a trip down 101. Was very good then, so we stopped again this year and the food and service were equally very good. I especially liked the chicken mole, very rich taste.

This place has gone down in family history as our saddest dining experience yet. The food was extremely disappointing and downright unpalatable. The chile rellenos were stuffed with a flavorless white cheese nothing like the traditional cheese usually used, and the whole dish tasted like it had been made yesterday and heated up in the microwave. The ambiance was lacking... More

This is good Mexican food, it's not 100% authentic, if that's what you're looking for but, it's good food cooked "American" style. The tortillas are the "Tortilla Land" raw tortillas that you can buy and cook at home, so they are not home-made but they are better than pre-packaged. We haven't had a bad meal yet, they are very consistent.

Perlitas offers simply prepared and delicious meals like mom used to make. The restaurant is spotless and the staff are friendly

Small basic mexican restaurant. Food was decent inside a not so impressive building. Prices were surprisingly cheap. Service was quick. If on a trip and in the need of mexican food in Crescent City this place should cover your needs. Cheap and decent food. Nothing fancy.

Tried this place for dinner and it came up short. I love Mexican food and had high hopes based on the reviews but I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. The food was edible and that was it. We were seated in the back of the dining area and the bathroom must have been back there because it smelled bad.... More

The food here is amazing! The service was fast and friendly. The interior simple nothing fancy but lean. A must try if you like Mexican food.

stopped for lunch after a medical appointment and will definitely be back for more... hubby had 2 ground beef soft tacos and absolutely loved it. i had the tostada w/carnitas-omg. the carnitas was perfectly seasoned and cooked. the ingredients in the tostada were perfect - the amount, the mixture. we didn't care overly much for salsa for the chips -... I ordered a chorizo & egg burrito. they served me plain ordinary breakfast sausage in the burrito. I literally showed the waitress their error -- the meat was grey not red. the waitress just shrugged and said "that's the way we serve chorizo here." I answered that it was NOT chorizo. she repeated that's the way they serve it there.... More

It definitely was not the best Mexican food that I have ever had, but the portion sizes were good and the food was very flavorful. The environment was very comfortable and felt like a school cafeteria in a good way. The service was fast and friendly. Prices were extremely reasonable even for ordering wine. I would definitely go again if... More
