A good solution for lunch

We like to go there for lunch. Our kids like the pizza. They are really tasty and fairly big. They have a good kids menu. Try the Cesar salat with the Gorgonzola, it's very good. Service is ok. Some personal those not seem to like it there very much.

Are here to try Italian food, was very good. Salads and various dishes were good. In a place you wouldn't expect such good food. Out of the way and in a strip mall that isn't easy to see but worth a try.

Omg just listen to your server and order whatever they recommend! Everything is great! Focaccia bread is a must, hand tossed pizza a must and we enjoyed the seafood risotto.

Definitely NOT a romantic setting, but it's a great way to escape from the mega-resort restaurant scene. It's in a strip mall overlooking a boat yard, but the atmosphere inside is pleasant, and the food is surprisingly varied and above average. The pizza and pasta options are varied and imaginative. In addition, this place offers fresh fish, again with thoughtful... More

kawaihae junction doesn't feel like a destination, but cafe pesto certainly is! we've eaten there many times, and quite simply always love it. the food is excellent-- bite into the homey dishes like pizza, pasta, and burgers, and taste the expert attention of a superior chef. salads are very fresh and beautifully arranged, with deliciously prepared dressings. though we almost... We have been going to Cafe Pesto for 22 years. ever visit to the Big Island contains at least one trip to Cafe Pesto. This trip we were very disappointed with cafe pesto. We arrived for dinner, got seated right away. Our waiter took our order and said the bread was cooking so he would bring that out when it... More

I ate dinner here. the food quality (I had one of the fish dinners) was more like a 4 star restaurant than the 3 star physical appearance of the facility. Excellent food and service

My family is staying at the Hapuna Beach Prince Resort and we're getting tired of eating expensive hotel food. I found this restaurant on Yelp. This was an wonderful find after a whole morning of Stand Up Paddle Boarding at Kawaihae Bay. The restaurant is next to a cement factory and a canoe club so don't expect nice surroundings. However,... More

This was a "gem", a basic hole in the wall as it stands in the small strip center, over looking the beautiful ship yards. However, you never look out the window as you are constantly staring at your plate waiting to get that next fork full of food to your tastebuds. Once we walked in the door, it was very... More

We are staying at Waikoloa at one of the resorts and asked the concierge for something reasonably priced and local, away from the standard resort food. She immediately recommended Cafe Pesto as her favorite. Nice atmosphere great efficient service. Food was good. Had the poke fish salad with tuna and pineapple wonderful. Another was fresh tomatoes with grilled eggplant lettuce,... More
