Ok. Even with the view!

Good bar. Busy Sat. Night we went. Sat outside with industrial view. Had mochongo. Done very well with veggies and rice. 30 bucks seemed expensive for location and portions. Food was great and service had island pace.

The food is good. Tuesday's Prime Rib is excellent. All the fish is fresh. It is a very LOCAL place so don't expect elegance.

Although this place is in an industrial location with an ugly-ish view...the food and service was tremendous. Stop here but get here early....I'd suggest 30 mins prior to sunset. Then you'll beat even the locals. Loved this place !!

If you are staying on the Kona side of the Island this is a great Seafood expirence. I have eaten there twice and each time I was pleased and I've been known as hard to impress. Each time the food has come out Hot and just a min or so from being prepaired. They serve numerous dishes with a Black... More

We are always looking for new places to eat on the Big Island -- There seems to be a lot of turnover and restaurants do not always survive from year to year. We saw the Seafood Bar advertised in one of the promotional magazines and decided to give it a try. We called the restaurant to find that they don't... More

This place is a sleeper. We read about this place, close to the Hupuna Princes hotel. Started with coconut shrimp on a stick, house salad, seafood curry with rice. Curry a little pricey,29$ well worth every bite. Service was a knock out, especially how crowded this place is. The view of the giant oil tanks at the Matson shipping yard is ???

The fresh catch of the day was absolutely great. We had mahi with a roasted red pepper sauce with rice. Prices were reasonable the service was great I would highly recommend anybody in the area to try this place out. Don't let the outside appearance for you it is a great place for lunch or dinner.

This place is just right for happy hour on this end of the island. No reservations of course. It is a long happy hour, divided into afternoon and then late evening. During happy hour there are $5 maitais, and $8 coconut shrimp, as well as other selections. I mention these as I like them best. I've been to this place... More

Tried this place last year during our stay on the Big Island. Found ourselves dreaming of the grilled calamari, coconut shrimp and black bean seafood combo prior to our arrival back in Hawaii. Headed to The Seafood Bar and Grill the first night we arrived. Very happy to find that the food is still as good as last year!

We found the Seafood Bar about 5 years ago looking for a place to watch a football game and have a drink and some food. We were not looking for a place for the most outstanding meal. This place is the best. The owner is almost always on the premises and attentive to the patrons. We were on the Big... More
