Worth The Drive

This restaurant is a bit off the beaten track but well worth the drive. The service is excellent. The manager/owner stopped by our table twice to inquire how we are enjoying our evening. The food was excellently prepared with attention to detail. The fresh fish dishes were vey good.

after two visit, both with mediocre food, i won't be back. it's okay-- the setting is appealing, and the service is friendly. just bland and overpriced food. also the worst margarita i have ever tasted. deck seating is pleasant for an early lunch (afternoons are hot).

Using the Big Island Revealed totally found us this gem of a place. We were spending the day beach hopping and decided to head up to a Macadamia nut factory (separate review). It was after lunch and we were starving. It is off the road opposite a shipping barge type place. It is located on the upper level of the... More

This restaurant is located on the second floor above a few stores. Inside and outside dining tables are available. Unfortunately there isn't much of a view because it faces oil tanks, but the food is very good and prices reasonable. We especially liked their fresh fish dishes and seafood fried rice. Try the prime rib special on Tuesday's. Salads and... More

Enjoyed it so much went back twice. The happy hour is really a bargain. Four dollar local beers during happy hour get the fried calamari steak it's delicious and huge. The coconut shrimp have a delicious peanut colada sauce stay away from the seafood quesadilla.

This is a restaurant popular with locals that have a very friendly owner, wait and bar staff that make sure you enjoy yourself. It is located upstairs in a small commercial building and unfortunately doesn't have great views because of the island habor across the street. The Tuesduy night special smoked Prime Rib dinner is very good and priced reasonable... More

Visited for lunch after day at the beach. Great sandwich choices and good child's menu for the little people. Calamari pupu was outstanding. Even though we were large party, we were accommodated quickly and service was attentive. Everyone in out party thought food was tasty. Mai Tais also not to be missed. Would return and definiotely recommend..

From the outside, this doesn't look like much. Inside there is no ocean view, but fun decorations and the food more than makes up for no view. My husband hates seafood, but loved the seared poke I ordered. This is a friendly place with good food that shouldn't be missed.

Went here for a casual dinner. Got the seafood pizza and it was just stupendous! Combined with a lava man beer, it was the best meal I had on the islands. Only bummer was our mediocre view (of the petroleum storage tanks) on the balcony ... and the horde of flies that showed up when our food arrived. But I'd... More

This place certainly caters to the tourists. A few locals hang out because, hello, it's the only bar still open in the area at 7pm. The food, while tasty, was way over priced. Seriously, a bowl of fried rice for $17? They call appetizers "Lite Meals", but they also list Pupu's in their main entree section, they were out of... More
