This place is known for it's blended B52's -a nice treat on a hot island day. But if you don't stay for dinner and only have drinks, they were less than accommodating - and you'd figure that 8 people ordering two rounds each would warm some hearts, but sadly, no.

We are a family of 6 so eating out is prohibitively expensive. (We mostly cooked for ourselves in our condo.) This splurge for lunch on a whim was worth every penny.

Our daughter turned us on to this place several years ago and it remains steadfastly our favorite spot to Happy Hour or dine in Kohala. Yum and fun....! Always enjoy the Mai Tais! (Being across from industrial area we always call Seafood Bar and Grill "TANKS ALOT" )!

Driving north of Hapuna Beach looking for lunch, we found the Seafood Bar & Grill. It was Saturday early afternoon and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We didn't ask, but assumed we were served by the owner. He was friendly and genuinely interested in telling us how the foods were prepared. The aha poke was delicious! We had great... More

If your in the area of Kawaihae, this is a good spot to stop for good food. They have a good menu for a fairly small place. Dining is indoors or out on the balcony. Food prices as reasonable, and portions are generous.

In short. Awful view but oh wow the quality of the food is second to none, great friendly service with an atmosphere to match. and for a price that we weren't able to match. Couldnt recommend this highly enough if you want great food and couldn't care less about the view.

Visited whilst on honeymoon, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent fish. More atmosphere than we found in our hotel. Cocktails good value and well made. Would recommend and go again.

The food is great. I laugh at the comments about the lack of a view, because it is so true. The restaurant sits across from a genuine Hawaiian industrial area. It's so close to the water, but that water is employed in commerce not of the touristy type. I'd definitely return. I actually like seeing what goes on away from... More

We visited this gem a couple times during out stay on this side of the island. I had discovered this place from reading reviews...but if course. The first time we had cocktails only. They were awesome! The bartender Tim is great(he might be manager too?). My favorite cocktail was the lychee lemonade...yum! For a late dinner one evening we shared... More

Not the best location as you are facing the industrial harbour (but you can still enjoy Mona Kea in the background), recommended by locals so on our way back from Waimea, we decided to give it a try. Best meal we had in Hawaii so far in 5 different trips. The black bean seafood combo was outstanding, not a typical... More
