We went here as a last minute meal after doing a manta ray night snorkel. We shared the Island Salad which was awesome - would be great with a protein added as a full meal. My husband and I each got the fish sandwich with the fresh fish of the day (I can't remember what the fish was). Very hot,... More

On second floor of two story building across from the Commercial harbor. Park around the back. The fish is what is caught that day or the night before. Cooked by someone who really knows how to do it. Wonderful place! Nice looking Mai tais- although we did not try them. Would certainly go back!!

My wife and I had a great experience at the Seafood Bar in Kawaihae, Hawaii, great food, great company, they have a wonderful selection of great food, prices are decent, great drinks, the waiters and waitresses were fantastic and really make you feel like family. The decor is one of a traditional hawaiian place with an excellent set up, during... More

The seafood bar & grill downstairs is horrible. The service was horrible and slow when there was only one other couple there. My french toast was cold and almost every piece had a fuzzy on it like someone was wearing a sweater while cooking my food. The bacon was microwaved no doubt and we ordered orange juice, which, came out... More

We went intending to have dinner.we love fried calamari and coconut shrimp. We ordered both as appetizers. Their menu offered fried calamari STEAK. We should have resisted since neither of us had ever heard of such a thing, but the waitress assured us that it was a certain cut from the top of the octopus, pounded to tenderize, and was... More

We went the Seafood Bar because he heard that it had the best Prime Rib. Coming from an area that loves and specializes in Prime Rib, we were excited. We sure missed a good prime rib. It was a let down. Otherwise, prices were good, drinks and the seafood we got was good. These items saved this review.

We arrived late enough to take advantage of their late night happy hour appetizers (9:30+). While the prices were reasonable, we were disappointed with the food -- coconut shrimp, quesadillas, hamburger were nothing special, although we enjoyed the salads. Perhaps the entrees would have been better, but we didn't sample nor did we any bar drinks, which were well priced... More

While staying at a North Kohala resort, we were looking for a local place to eat some good seafood. This was recommended by AAA and also some locals working at the spa I went to. There are a number of good little restaurants in this tiny port town (basically a port with a little strip mall and a couple other... More

Seafood Bar is not fancy, and is a bit of a local kind of place to hang. But I love eating here. I love the local atmosphere, It's great to hear the pidgin and nobody is ever trying to be pretentious. Plus, the food is good & the prices reasonable. The seafood fried rice is especially good combined with the... More
