We were wandering down the highway early one morning, on our way to Volcano. We didn't have an agenda on where to stay for breakfast, just deciding to let things happen as they willed. We stopped at this little restaurant on the side of the road, at the junction of Mamalahoa and Keala O Keawe roads. Stop there, you won't... More

We stayed about a week on Hawaii and our landlord suggested this coffeehouse for breakfast. After the first sip of their local coffee we decided to come back every day :) The food- especially the breakfast wrap- is delicious! Their patio is nice- even though you don't have a view of the ocean. The service is excellent and friendly. They... More

We had been past here on previous trips to the Big Island, but it has since been renovated and the number of cars parked there was an indication that it was a good spot for lunch. We were not disappointed. We ordered eggs benedict from their Sunday Brunch menu. They accommodated my Mom by preparing a half-order for her. The... More

I really like this place. It's overpriced. But the location and the ambience I enjoyed. There's no view of the ocean but you can sit on their garden patio that's covered and is situated next to a garden. They do get their ingredients locally and from their own farm which you can tell. I had a piece of quiche, one... More

My husband and I ate here for breakfast before heading to the local beach. It's conveniently located at the top of a hill with easy access parking. You can sit inside or out in the shaded back patio (we sat outside; it was a beautiful morning and the weather was perfect). We ordered the breakfast wrap (with added avocado and... More

Had lunch here. Ali, our server was informative and pleasant. We had the veggie, macadamia nut burger. It was fabulous. I wish the bun had not been a regular hamburger bun but a nice crusty one. This hamburger deserves a great bun. We went back today for coffee, which is grown onsite and is organic. I bought some to take... More

After bad cappuccinos at the Sheraton Kona coffee bar, we decided to stop here on our way to Hawaii Volcanoes NP. The owners and staff were friendly and welcoming, and it was good coffee. So we made it a point to stop again on our return, and they actually remembered us! We had the MacNut burger, a veggie burger made... More
