An Outstanding Stop, very enjoyable - June 1, 2015

Following a morning to midday hike south of Fredonia, we ventured to Cowboy Butte around 4 pm. The luncheon menu featured Prime Rib Sandwich which three of us enjoyed - the marinade used for the Prime Rib was excellent. Our fourth member, enjoyed a specialty hamburger and the four of us heartily... read more

We stopped here for lunch on our way through town. We both had burgers, and those were very good. I liked the atmosphere. Casual eating, reasonably priced, and the food was plentiful.

Big cuts of steak, with reasonable prices. Cooked perfectly every time. Flavor outstanding. This is the way steak is supposed to be. Old fashioned real mashed potatoes. Large nicely cooked fries. Hand made, home made goodness is what they try for and accomplish it well. Booths are showing some wear and tear, and it isn't the largest joint in the... More

We had a large group on Valentines day, they made room for us, its a old house and nothing special in decor. Wait staff suggested the Steak and shrimp it was excellent, and for dessert they have homemade pie. Will definetly return next time we are in Kanab.

This was the first restaurant in Arizona after leaving Utah, so we thought it would be good with a wide range of alcoholic drinks to choose from. There was only one table that was not occupied either by customers or the remains from earlier diners. To say the decor and furnishings needed work is an understatement. The ceiling had bits... I am new to the area and have been trying all nearby restaurants (in Kanab). This place is, without a doubt, the best restaurant around. I've had the steak a couple of times and it was perfect both times. Tried the lunch and had the best steak sandwich ever. The prices are right and the service is always friendly and... More

Best filet mignon I've had in a long time. My husbands sirloin was also excellent. Interesting with no alcohol but we brought our own so that worked out. Just like the old days brown bagging. Largest filet I have ever seen! Very good!!!!! Highly recommend!

When we walked in, the first thing we noticed were the duct taped seats in the booths. All that was forgotten, however when we were seated and had ordered. The atmosphere was good, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. First time I had pie in years. ;) if I had any advice it would be to the... More

We came here for lunch on our way to Flagstaff and I found the waitress very nice and attentive. I had some potato salad and soup and it was lovely. My son had a hugh meal of chips, chicken and bacon all in a roll. It was enormous. My daughter in law had soup and a sandwich and again portions... More

Not what we expected from the recommendations. Steaks were overdone, and the cowboy beans were cold. The hot turkey sandwich was drowned in gravy and not that good. The cranberry sauce packet was expired. "It's usually good for a week after the printed date", said the waitress. I think not! Antacids to the rescue.
