A great waitress and a very long wait

This was the first restaurant in Arizona after leaving Utah, so we thought it would be good with a wide range of alcoholic drinks to choose from. There was only one table that was not occupied either by customers or the remains from earlier diners. To say the decor and furnishings needed work is an... read more

I am new to the area and have been trying all nearby restaurants (in Kanab). This place is, without a doubt, the best restaurant around. I've had the steak a couple of times and it was perfect both times. Tried the lunch and had the best steak sandwich ever. The prices are right and the service is always friendly and... More

Best filet mignon I've had in a long time. My husbands sirloin was also excellent. Interesting with no alcohol but we brought our own so that worked out. Just like the old days brown bagging. Largest filet I have ever seen! Very good!!!!! Highly recommend!

When we walked in, the first thing we noticed were the duct taped seats in the booths. All that was forgotten, however when we were seated and had ordered. The atmosphere was good, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. First time I had pie in years. ;) if I had any advice it would be to the... More

We came here for lunch on our way to Flagstaff and I found the waitress very nice and attentive. I had some potato salad and soup and it was lovely. My son had a hugh meal of chips, chicken and bacon all in a roll. It was enormous. My daughter in law had soup and a sandwich and again portions... More

Not what we expected from the recommendations. Steaks were overdone, and the cowboy beans were cold. The hot turkey sandwich was drowned in gravy and not that good. The cranberry sauce packet was expired. "It's usually good for a week after the printed date", said the waitress. I think not! Antacids to the rescue.

When you find yourself in Fredonia, AZ on your way to or from the North rim of the Grand Canyon stop and eat here! Real food, great service, reasonable prices.

We live reasonably close to this restaurant and usually eat there once a month. I have never had a bad meal. I usually get the chicken strips but the hot turkey sandwich, roast beef dinner and steaks are great also. The hand cut French fries are wonderful. The service is quick and staff is friendly. I had a flat iron... More

On a road trip, Hubby and I stopped here for a late lunch on a weekday. There were a few other patrons, but not crowded, as would be expected this time of day. Service was great! I ordered the French Dip; it was very good! Lots of lean, flavorful beef on a soft toasted roll with piping hot au jus.... More

Have eaten here twice just to give it a fair chance. Both times I ordered burgers cooked medium, both times they were overcooked. The burgers were pretty good, but I don't understand why they can't cook them as ordered. If I'm going to pay $8 or $9 for a burger I want it how I want it, not overcooked and... More
