Description: Abundant and beautiful California Wine Country in the Northeast Heights. Welcome to “Savoy”! A sun-filled, unpretentious but sophisticated, wine-friendly restaurant. As you walk into the dramatic high-ceiling entryway, you are moved in all directions. To the East you have a frosted view of the tasting room, loaded with fresh flowers and walls of glass-encased wine. To the West you get a glimpse of the lounge bar leading to the vine-covered patio. Light, open and airy with butter-colored walls, dark wood and black & white photography of wine country all come together to create an elegant yet surprisingly comfortable atmosphere in the main dining room. The dark and contemporary edge to the room is offset during the day with an abundance of natural light from large windows and three strategically placed skylights. That oven will be our culinary focal point for the exhibition kitchen, where our guests will see and smell the citrus roasted duckling, the roasted platter of shellfish

The food and service was really nice. Our waitress was very knowledgable about the food and all the specials. It's nice to be able to see the kitchen also. I had the grilled tuna and my wife had the petit filet. Bring your credit card though.

I ordered the "pepper steak" prime rib sandwich for lunch and it was pretty bad. The meat had an "old" taste to it - like when cooked beef is reheated. I should have been forewarned by the words "prime rib". Obviously this one had a past life as a prime rib days before. It was disappointing because I like their... More

My girlfriends and I go to Savoy from time to time and the happy hour specials in the bar are always good. The $5 glasses of wine are pretty good and the burger special and steak sandwich don't disappoint!

We recently dropped in for an early lunch with a friend. Our server was very friendly and we had a great corner table. It was early and not many people were there yet. I was in the mood for a burger and was not disappointed. I came prepared just the way I ordered it and was served with some really... More

This was a bit of a renunion lunch and the meal so very disappointing. Two chicken ceasar salads and two specialty taco plates added up to an un appetizing reunion repast. The prices were unfair and the cheese offerings on the plate were definitely quesidilla quality, no hard feelings to quesadillas intended. I am uaully fair minded, its tough running... More

Friends decided to get a small group together and have a few drinks and appetizers one Friday. Setting is great but food and liquor portions have declined since we started going there. My friend ordered a martini and the amount in the glass was so small-- but then so was the martini glass- that she was amazed at the huge... More

Everyone else in my party seemed to enjoy their meals but my fish tacos were very very bland ... and this was after the server asked if I was OK with spicy to which I enthusiastically said "yes, make mine very spicy". Perhaps I was misunderstood because the meal had no flavor much less any zing. Also the tortilla was... More

We took my sister to lunch on her birthday and there were 4 of us. My husband ordered the pepper steak sandwich which was very much like a Philly cheese steak minus the cheese. He liked it very much and the meat was tender to the bite. My sister's husband had the Reuben and he liked it but didn't rave... More

It's been two years since I've first visited Savoy. Which you'd think is strange because my house is just blocks away. One of my besties mentioned she wanted to eat here for her birthday dinner after I had suggested it. We showed up last night to find that they had a special menu offered because of their anniversary celebration (7... More

I have been disappointed lately in the fare at "high end" restaurants. In years past, when you you arranged an outing with good friends and family for a special occasion, you could to to a quality restaurant and get food and service you normally didn't get at "moderately priced" restaurants. That, however, has not been my experience of late and... More
