Whether you want to spend a romantic night out with a loved one or want to enjoy a fantastic meal with friends, family, we are truly the premier Japanese restaurant in town. Our teppan chefs provide a unique dining experience for all our customers, and that is the reason why we are such a popular dining attraction locally over the decade. Teppan, also known as teppanyaki, is a traditional form of Japanese cooking that involves cooking an assortment of chicken, steak and seafood items on an iron grill, you are able to eat them straight off the grill, you get to watch the food to be made right in front of you. There is no better way to enjoy a meal with family and friends than by coming to Azuma Sushi & Teppan and watching our teppan chefs and the talent sushi chefs work their magic.

Convenient to movie theater

My husband and I went here to celebrate a Birthday with dinner and a movie. It is walking distance to the Cinemark off San Mateo. Although the food was good, I was disappointed in the service. I believe because it was so busy.. Our glasses were dirty, as we ordered Stella Artois (that uses a... read more

They have not let us down yet. Every roll that we've had has tasted very fresh and has had great flavors. We haven't dined in the restaurant yet, but it seems to have a great atmosphere.

Went last night and it was really good. We were their a few weeks ago and a different chief and the food was not as the dinner last night. And the chief was also more entertaining. For two people with drinks and tip, about $60-70

Some friends were treating us to dinner, and chose Azuma, one of their favorite places to eat. We were not disappointed. Seating around the teppan grill included 3 families. We were served a bowl of mushroom soup, followed by salad, with ginger or creamy (Ranch) dressing. The appetizer of tempura vegetables was ample enough for 4 of us, and gave... More

After having some amazing sashimi in Scottsdale, I thought I'd check out some local talent. Azuma is a lovely restaurant, but my sashimi combo left much to be desired. The sashimi lacked the richness, flavor and freshness that I now know is possible. Kind of a shame.

I've been going to Azuma for the past 3 years, at least once a year. The last time I went was for my birthday on August 6th, so I thought it was about time I wrote a review. First some back story on my experiences with Teppan grills... I've been going to these type of restaurants since I was about... More

Great place for sushi and teppan! We had two sushi rolls before our main dish. The kids shared the Hibachi shrimp and the wife and I shared the Azuma steak. The food was great and the service was outstanding. Our whole meal came out to $74.00 and some change. We will definitely be back for more!
