Whether you want to spend a romantic night out with a loved one or want to enjoy a fantastic meal with friends, family, we are truly the premier Japanese restaurant in town. Our teppan chefs provide a unique dining experience for all our customers, and that is the reason why we are such a popular dining attraction locally over the decade. Teppan, also known as teppanyaki, is a traditional form of Japanese cooking that involves cooking an assortment of chicken, steak and seafood items on an iron grill, you are able to eat them straight off the grill, you get to watch the food to be made right in front of you. There is no better way to enjoy a meal with family and friends than by coming to Azuma Sushi & Teppan and watching our teppan chefs and the talent sushi chefs work their magic.

Great family meal

Great place for sushi and teppan! We had two sushi rolls before our main dish. The kids shared the Hibachi shrimp and the wife and I shared the Azuma steak. The food was great and the service was outstanding. Our whole meal came out to $74.00 and some change. We will definitely be back for... read more

After having some amazing sashimi in Scottsdale, I thought I'd check out some local talent. Azuma is a lovely restaurant, but my sashimi combo left much to be desired. The sashimi lacked the richness, flavor and freshness that I now know is possible. Kind of a shame.

I've been going to Azuma for the past 3 years, at least once a year. The last time I went was for my birthday on August 6th, so I thought it was about time I wrote a review. First some back story on my experiences with Teppan grills... I've been going to these type of restaurants since I was about... More

We always choose the teppan grill which has a ton of food and always tastes amazing. I have never been disappointed and always take any guests visiting from out of town here. My kids love this place too and they are very picky eaters.

Our first time visiting Albuquerque. My cousin took us to Azuma. The sushi was of good quality with good prices. The entrees from the kitchen were great too. Wish I lived in New Mexico so I could eat the sushi here!

Beautiful new location at Wyoming plaza, great decor and the sense of elegant and class. First impression was "wow, it's going to be nice and expensive". Well, at least it Was expensive. I rated a two star because the food was disgusting. How can they serve raw fish that were dried and discolor! That is NEVER acceptable.

I travel a lot. I'm new to Albuquerque so my friend Amy told me to go to Azuma. I had the New Mexico roll (what a tourist, right?) and she ordered the hibachi salmon at the teppan grill. The chef was hilarious and the staff was friendly. My favorite thing about the Wyoming location is that it is absolutely beautiful!... More

I happily visited the new Azuma location on Wyoming and Paseo, lured by a coupon. It is a lovely setup with minimal lighting. The menu was sorely lacking in vegetarian options, no Veg. Bento. My companions ordered the salmon lunch bento and were very pleased; in fact, there were nice sides that they shared. I ordered the vegetable teppan and... More

Especially long wait for a table...came early. When we checked in, it was a 45 minute wait...when I check again at 45 minutes it was 15, when I checked the third time, it was another 15...the fourth time she said I called you (we were at the bar...the only ones at the bar). We sat at the hibachi grill. The... More
