If you ever need a reminder why we're here in this great State, come here and sit back and have a great pizza, salad, or cup of coffee, or a lemon flauta, or any other delicious pastry to choose from, and exhale the worries of the day. From the moment you walk in, a beautiful smile greeting and handing me... More

...and that's a good thing! We discovered this gem several years ago, after moving from the westside closer to downtown. Wonderful biscochitos. The best empanadas. Fabulous green chile bread. And their pizza! We get the take-and-bake variety with the blue corn crust...and we are NEVER disappointed. This should be a must-stop on any tourist's (or local's) foray into Albuquerque.

We bought a big assortment of goodies to take back home. The green chili bread was good as were the biscochitos but the empanadas stole the show. I wish I had skipped the wedding cookies and bought more empanadas . Next visit to Albuquerque I'll be there the first day of my visit.

After reading all the glowing reviews, we made this one of our first stops. The woman at the counter was very, friendly and gave us each a free cookie to try. (Who knew New Mexico had a state cookie?) We bought two empanadas to go, one sweet potato and one cherry. The sweet potato was tasty and not too sweet. My... More

Nestled in the historic section of Albuquerque, this pueblo style architecture certainly sets Gown Crown apart from so many restaurants. The decor is eclectic and inviting. Daniela was very helpful and cordial. The pastries look like those of the best panaderías in México. The green chile crust on the Golden Crown pizza had a great little bite. There were no... More

Charming bohemian vibe. The cookies and empanadas are great but if you arrive after noon you risk having a very small selection of the baked goods- everything seems fresh and we haven't been disappointed!

We went wanting to get some treats before we left ABQ. They were out of pan dulce and were almost out of empanadas and cookies. We took some limon flautas, Mexican wedding cookies, and empanadas. Everything had a slight licorice taste to it and I don't like licorice. Maybe it was because it was the end of the day and... More
